Not only the variety of images, but the size of each patterns are really a special treat. They are nice size well, illustrated embroidery patterns, and a large variety of vintage designs. Any embroiderer would love. Some of which my mother used to do and it’s exciting that I could now reproduce some of her work.

Love this book! So many vintage pics to embroidery or even copy for some other project. It’s super sweet . These pics are from an era long gone but not forgotten & is still in some of our hearts & then here I run across this lil jewel of a book! I’m really ecstatic that I found & bought ! This along with the bag book I bought with the same order are my absolute favorites and I am a book lover and have Many so that is saying a lot !!!!

Love the old time embroidery patterns and contains some content about when they were popular. Especially delighted that there was a page on coloring fabric with crayons. Plan to do that.

I had searched for vintage embroidery transfers and didn’t read carefully enough to realize this is just a book of pictures. They must be traced onto the fabric with a light box. A bit disappointed. But I should have read more carefully. Tracing designs onto fabrics does not usually result in the sharpness I was looking for, but I will keep the book.

Love this book! I grew up in the 1950/60's and the designs in this book represent much of the needlework that my mother and grandmother worked with. The patterns are authentic and easy to reproduce. Nice variety of themes for different uses and decor. It's chock full of patterns from beginner to more advanced stitching. I love the beginning with a little history of stitching with pictures and the section on tips and how-to's. I've always been a fan of Suzanne McNeil, and this book did not disappoint. I can't imagine the hours of research and digging she must have done to accomplish putting all these wonderful patterns into one book. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves vintage projects. It will inspire you to create something original that will be treasured for years!

This was a fun book to go through with my mom. Very well done. I’m looking forward to using this book for embroidery ideas for gifts.👍🏻

Large book filled with a nice variety of classic embroidery patterns for towels, baby items, etc. If you like to embroider this would make a nice addition to your library of patterns or as a gift.

Just what I was looking for, many beautiful patterns!!!

First of all this is book is very good quality and very thick! I was expecting a much thinner, smaller book. The patterns are gorgeous. There's flower baskets, crinoline ladies, cute animals and more. There's patterns from different eras, dating from the 18 century through to the 50s. There's a section at the beginning of the book with examples of some of the patterns stitched. The instructions are clear, and not many stitches are needed, so it's very suitable for beginners, which I am. I'm so excited to start stitching some of these patterns, most of the book in fact!
