This is an update to my last review that I made about 4 years ago. I purchased this lock in September, 2011. This lock has held up very well and is extremely secure. I have used this padlock at the gym to lock my valuables. The lock continues to work well, it remains sturdy, and is reliable. For the most part, it is the best padlock that I have used.I just received this lock. For the most part, its studier and heavier than the ordinary combination padlocks I used in the past. The locking shackle and the body of the lock are much tougher and has very little play when locked. However, this is only a preliminary assessment. I will update my review of this product after placing and testing the lock in the field.

Good dependable lock (for indoor use). Over time (3 years), the keys begin to bend. I tossed the first because I was afraid it would break in the lock. Now the second is bent, and I'm replacing the whole lock and key set.

I use this exact lock on the gate across my driveway. I am on my second lock in 16+ years. The first one became difficult to open, so I replaced it with one of these locks that I bought locally. The lock I am using now still works fine, but it is starting to rust. I can't find these locally anymore. All they have are the part plastic ones. I can't use plastic because sometimes they get water in them from snow or rain and I have to deice them with a blow torch. A good way to prevent that is to put a plastic freezer bag over it with a rubber band, but sometimes I forget. Anyway, I never inspected my old lock very closely. As far as I can tell, these locks are just as sturdy and well made as the one I have. I bought two locks in two separate packages. The keys fit well and the locks open and close properly and easily. They also have two separate keys and are not interchangeable. I did that on purpose just to see what I would get because other reviews say they are all keyed alike. Mine are not.

I've owned several of these over the years and the only reason I've ever had for replacing one was having lost the previous.These are fantastic locks, light weight but durable and very reliable; though if you are going to be using one outdoors, a spot of WD-40 every so often will keep it operating smoothly.

Very durable lock I am using on my storage unit. Easy to use and comes with two keys.

Cons:-space between covers is not welded shut. Think would be easy for water to run in and freeze.Pros:-smooth action. Key turns nicely- very little of actual lock is showing. Think it should be hard to break into.Good lock
