Great bird feeder
The base is a really good heavy base & the feeder is well constructed. Only negative is that the pole is slimmer than the base so it is a little wobbly - still good though.

Needs some DIY!
I bought this feeder because of the heavy concrete parasol base. The supplier advises that the base is rolled along the ground instead of being picked up. It is possible to pick up on your own, if you know how to lift heavy objects without damaging your back, but it's probably best to use two people if you need to lift it. As other purchasers have noted, the pole doesn't fit snugly into the base sleeve, so would wobble about without some DIY. The supplier provides three inserts to reduce the diameter of the base sleeve, but even these aren't enough to stop it wobbling - it probably needs four or five inserts. I didn't bother cutting off the spade end of the pole, like another purchaser did, I just packed out the sleeve with grit (dry sand would probably be OK too) around the pole to the top of the sleeve and then tightened up the finger screws. To stop the sleeve filling with water and make the pole even more stable I sealed the top with a mouldable glue that hardens after 24 hours (see photo). Putty or any other water-proof sealant would probably do as well. I also used the mouldable glue on the joints where each pole section fits into the next one. The three brackets that hold the two dishes and the fat feeder presented a few more problems. I couldn't slide them onto the pole through the centre of the curly end - they had to be twisted on - but one fitted snugly, one was too loose and one was too tight and had to be forced on. Once they were in place I used the mouldable glue to make sure they didn't move from where I fixed them (see photo). The feeders supplied are rather flimsy and not squirrel proof, so I've replaced them with ones that are. I think the supplier could omit them and provide a couple more inserts for the base sleeve to reduce the cost and the amount of DIY needed.

well worth the price
The fitting where the first pole joins up to the weight needs redesigning. Where the pole end is shaped to push into the ground without a weight it is not a good fit and the screws are too short

Poor if there were 0 stars I would give it
The base and pole are not a fit....the base is a standard parasol base. The poles are not strengthened at the joins and so will not be stable in windy conditions. The separate bath and feeder curled stations are unstable.Poor instructions. The actual feeders that come with it are poor quality.Overpriced .......difficult to repack to return but will consider doing so when calm.

A little more thought.....
Ok pros and cons...Pros; decent poles, plenty of hangersCons; poles are loose fitting into each other, base doesn’t fit the poles, cheep nasty plastic bird feeders.Remedies; cut off spade end of the first pole which goes into base. This will then sit over the large bolt which comes up from the base. Pack out the width of this pole so that it fits into base and two finger screws have something to tighten against. Either superglue or run electricians tape around the slot in end to pack out to make a better fix to stop poles from wobblingValue for money; This is so over priced for the quality of the product considering the amount of work needed to rectify poor design and cheep. Only buy if you fancy a bit of problem solving and DIYBuy again; NO!

OK but a little disappointing
Base is not part of the unit and is not therefore a good fit.
