50mm Single Locking Long Throw Gate Cays Lock,Elongated Keep with Stainless Steel Bar

Value for money sturdy latch .

I bought this brand as it said it came with the drill bit... but no drill bit included unfortunately. I had to purchase a 25mm drill bit (as the nearest suitable size) and with sanding and some perseverance was able to successfully install the lock!It is starting to show a bit of rust after recent rain which I may need to treat and seal with something?Pleased overall and feeling that it's acting as a deterrent to intruders - ultimately is the whole point, surely?

Costs the same as a good quality bolt and lock but better quality, all marine grade stainless for exposed parts. Good for gates, garage, shed anywhere that you would want a pad lock.Easy to fit... Position the lock, drill a 26mm hole at the position of the barrel, push the barrel in the hole and secure with 4 supplied screws then simply position the keep and again attach with the 4 screws.Only advice is definitely pre drill for the screws as they are heavy duty and will split the wood.Pictures show 3 of those I've fitted and I'm off to fit another this afternoon!!!

Really easy to install .In the box you get a template , the correct size drill bit , 5 keys , the mechanism and the lock cover .I installed mine into an existing previously drilled hole so I can’t comment on the effectiveness of the wood bit .This was to replace a previous latch because these are exposed gates for drive access, hence they swell and shrink with the seasons etc . They also get blown by the wind a lot . The bolt has been in situ for over a month now and provides brilliant stability for the two large gates .It’s easy to lock and unlock using both the pin slide on the inside and the key barel lock on the outside .Reading the reviews before purchase i was skeptical over the reliability of the mechanism but I can only think that this was due to inaccurate installation.The template provided can be a little confusing but if you make sure when you install it you have the small divets/ holes on the sliding bolt facing towards the ground then I don’t think you’ll get any issues

Reasonably easy to fit makes shed door very secure. Good value for money

great product and very secure lock. only down side is the tiny tiny 3 brass front screws so make sure you have a tiny screwdriver for that. but would definitely recommend.
