Condensate Nuetralizer Kit

I was trying to build my own neutralizer, but couldn't find clear plastic pipe OD to mate just right with PVC cap/reducer ID. So I just went ahead and looked at all of the neutralizers on Amazon and settled on this one. Sure, I could've just used 3" PVC for the chamber, but I wanted to be able to see the alkalizing material and the water level. I definitely made the right choice in getting this unit. It comes with everything you need, though I did things a bit differently than the instructions. So, I bought an extra PVC T and a T barb rather than the Y barb that comes with. It was really easy to put together and mount. No drips, no mess. The best part was that my water heater's condensate went from pH 2.7 to 9.2! (Tested with a full-range electronic pH tester.). Had I created my on kit, it probably would have cost no more than half the price, but it would've been bulkier, more difficult to put together (let alone the time taken to source everything) and would've spent a lot more time warding off leaks. I'm really happy with this purchase.

It was easy to install but the ph went from 5 to 10 which is to high. It was a simple matter of unscrewing the end cap and removing half of the pebbles. Now it is measuring around 6 or 7 ph

Learned the hard way that acidic condensate water from my energy efficient furnace would corrode my copper drain line. It took more than 10 years but it did and caused a severe leak that damaged my hardwood floor. Problem is that cannot replace 25ft of copper pipe that runs under my house concrete slab. Thus, jackhammered a hole in the concrete under the furnace and connected the copper line to a PVC pipe.To avoid future damage of the copper line, have installed this neutralizer in a narrow space next the furnace. I built a bypass with PVC pipe and left a screwable cap to check the water pH in the discharge from time to time. Very happy with the quality and design of the neutralizer and hope to have peace of mind in the future. Wish I knew about acidic water condensate earlier and of this inexpensive way to prevent corrosion of copper or iron pipes

It came with every fitting that I needed and hose already in the box! Great job!

Shocked to see the change in PH. Was mid threes before and nearly eight after.Solid build will last as long as heater or more I am sure. Have not had to change out media yet- I suspect that could be a pain unscrewing but doable.

I received a “like new” warehouse item that was missing more than half of the pieces that were supposed to be included. I found a different brand new neutralizer kit from another brand for less money, so it’s hard to recommend this item now.

Came with plenty on various sized attachments. Works as described.
