Great can opener.
Love this can opener. We've probably had 3 over the last year. None of them worked for a variety of reasons. This one does it all. Push a button and it opens the can, backs up to release the can, on it's own, and stops, so you know it's done. The lid comes off cleanly with no sharp edges on either the lid or can. We love it!

... working ok and when it works it does a good job and stores out of the way
This FINALLY seems to be working ok and when it works it does a good job and stores out of the way. We had one that worked fine for many years. HOWEVER, we recently purchased a new one that would't grab the side of the can and was of no use. We purchased a second one that began making a loud rapping noise after the first couple uses. Hopefully those were just bad ones and this one will work as well and as long as the old one. Too soon to tell for sure.

Works great when you elevate the back the right way
Once I realized you have to start it slightly elevated, it works great. I bought this one for my daughter-in-law and she loves it.

I bought a Bartelli Soft Edge Auto....Color: Red in October 2015 for my wife to replace another brand standup electric can opener that proved too difficult to handle due to worsening of her arthritic condition in the fingers of both of her hands. She found it so easy to use that she asked me to order two more in color blue....one for my daughter and one for my daughter's mother-in-law. She has recommended it to others who have seen it in action in our kitchen. It has opened many medium sized cans of Pork-n-Beans, main ingredient of my wife's prized Boston Baked Beans party dish. My wife and I highly recommend it because of its ease of use.

Not reliable
Works sporadically. If I want it to even work, the batteries must be given a roll within the compartment ; and then, it either does nothing, chugs a few inches and stops without having cut anything, or - if I’m lucky, my can gets opened.

Worth it!
So far, this is a great can opener! I have had many different types of can openers and all have failed. This one takes no work, no squeezing, no fighting with the can.

Look into different product
This product is absolute junk! It doesn’t grip the can at all won’t cut the cut and is difficult to remove . I would rather go back to hand held can opener worst product I ever bought. Four people tried in my house to use this and no one could get it to work!
