The design is a Maneki neko (招き猫) cat, a very famous character in Japan. The meaning is "beckoning cat" - when the right paw is up it can bring good luck and wealth. Golden thread has been used, along with a little silver to give a 'dazzling shine' to the patch. Very well made product. Can be sewn or ironed on to bags, jackets and more.
