Semogue610 Pure Bristle Shaving Brush Black

An amazing boar hair shaving brush for the price point! The acrylic handle looks incredible; perfect size with good grip. I prefer the plain non-dyed color of the boar hair (they also have this brush available with dyed bristles that simulate the badger hair look). It's certainly coarser hair than a badger hair brush, but not as rough as I imagined (this Semogue 610 being my first boar hair brush). I definitely see this brush only getting better & better as it's broken in. The stiffer boar hair offers better backbone when loading up harder shaving soaps & for face lathering. I'm very happy with the purchase. The quality looks right at home next to my $100+ Simpson shaving brush. Anyone who is just getting into wet shaving should seriously consider this brush. I wish this was one of the first brushes I had bought when I started up.

I have plissons, badger, horse & boar brushes. This brush has become my go to face lathering brush. I love the combo of short loft & level of scrub on this brush. Plus the solid resin handle is very nice & rare on a boar. Semogue has become my new favorite boar brushes beyond Omega. For the price these are the best brushes IMHO. Looking forward to trying their owners club badger & boar brushes.

Bristles are hard and tend to splay out.Perhaps ok if you soak them first.Much prefer other natural bristles like badger.

great brush , broken in it's very soft .

Great brush so far. Still breaking in brush. Had brush only 2 weeks.

Elegant handle soft but firm bristles good service prompt brilliant.
