Deserves more than 5 stars!
Rush Dempsey has stolen my heart! I loved every single thing about Sloth. Giana Darling has created a story that was so satisfying on it's own and made its mark as an important part of the Elite Seven series as a whole. The storyline was fast paced and hooked me from the very beginning. The characters were perfect. I loved seeing Isabelle find her strength and Sloth learn to love. I can't wait for the last book in this series!

This series keeps getting better!
When you think of sloth, you don't usually think of redemption yet that is what this book had me thinking. I loved the quick pase of the story but didn't want it to end. I can't wait for the conclusion of this series!

I was a lion dressed as a lamb.
If you follow my blog, it’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Giana Darling. I freaking FLOVE everything she’s written, so I knew I would love Sloth. And I wasn’t wrong, I totally loved Sloth. The Elite Seven Books have been one outstanding read after another and have been some of my most anticipated books this year. It’s ridiculous, but I sync my kindle several times each day when I am waiting for the next blogger’s copy to hit my kindle. Sloth is Book six in The Elite Seven Series and was absolutely a stunning story. Before I get into my review for the book, please note these books are in fact a series of books written by different authors with stories that overlap but the books must be read in order.Reading Order for The Elite Seven Series:Lust (The Elite Seven, #1) by Ker DukeyPride (The Elite Seven, #2) by J.D. HollyfieldWrath (The Elite Seven, #3) by Claire C. RileyEnvy (The Elite Seven, #4) by M.N. ForgyGluttony (The Elite Seven, #5) by K WebsterSloth (The Elite Seven, #6) by Giana DarlingGreed (The Elite Seven, #7) by Ker Dukey and K WebsterWithout question, Sloth was one of my most anticipated books for May since I'm an avid—maybe even rabid?! 😉—Giana Darling reader. I was in no way disappointed with the sixth book in the series. Sloth was dark, sexxxxxy, and beautifully written. Giana’s a talented writer who never fails to capture my attention. Sloth is a quick read that will suck you in and you’ll be so engrossed in the story you’ll have finished it before you know it. The storyline is well developed. I imagine the weaving of storylines within a series written by multiple authors would be extremely challenging. Yet Giana Darling deserves praise for the skill she showed in integrating so many stories and plotlines seamlessly.Excellent writing, an extremely entertaining storyline, and unforgettable characters made reading Sloth a true pleasure. This dark romance is written in dual POV, and Rush and Isabelle shy away from nothing! They are complete opposites that complement one another as only possible in a romance. Rush commands attention, and while I expected him to be withdrawn, he’s actually very open and expressive with his lady. Isabelle is the sheltered, obedient church mouse who much like a caterpillar emerges as a butterfly when she’s finally out from under her father’s thumb. Giana Darling writes seXXXy as heck romance. Be prepared—have your spouses on standby or your batteries charged because a cold shower isn’t going to do the job after reading something she’s written. 😉 Sloth, while a shorter read then her full-length novels, is a perfect example of how Giana amplifies the heat in her stories by writing characters with intense chemistry.Sloth, and the rest of The Elite Seven Series, take readers on a journey unlike any other. You should prepare for heartache and expect the unexpected. They are considered dark romance—although I don’t find them particularly dark—and each story varies with its degree of angst. If you follow my reviews, you know that I am an angst junkie, and Sloth wasn’t as angsty as I expected. Yet if I had to choose a favorite, I would have to choose Sloth. This is an extremely hard call for me because these books have been fabulous!!! One-Click The Elite Seven books now and get hooked on them like so many others… You’ll thank me!!Quotes:It didn’t shock me that I’d been her harbinger of death. I was a faithless soul with blasphemous thoughts and a sacrilegious goal. I was honestly surprised I hadn’t burst into flames the moment I’d crossed the threshold of St. Augustine’s to scope out my virginal little victim. He didn’t know that I was smart and capable, that my lack of fashion and the softness of my expressions didn’t mean I was meek. It meant I was a lion dressed as a lamb.Maybe it was the man leading me down the path, smiling at me through the darkness like a Satan leading me into the bowls of ... Only, the devil wasn’t horns and talons, brimstone and ash. He was golden and gorgeous, sinning and sex. And I was his latest victim. He was a gorgeous sinner, a siren of fault and virtue who sang to something inside my heart that yearned for that duality. He wasn’t all bad and I wasn’t all good. We could be both, maybe even together.I’d unfairly judged him because my father’s God had told me there were only two types of people; sinners and saints. Rush was both and neither.

An epic addition to the series!!
I've really freakin' loved this whole series so far, and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on Sloth's book. There was so much going on in the previous books, and by the time I was finished with Gluttony's book I needed to know what was going to happen next! Sloth was such a mystery throughout the series thus far, so I was past excited to get into his story. Plus, the fact the author was Giana Darling pretty much guaranteed an epic book.Sloth dives into the story behind The Elite member, Rush Dempsey, or "Sloth" as the sin he is given. It almost picks up right where the last book left off, just a little behind because there is need to set up the current events. You learn what happened in the previous books, albeit a very condensed version. (I highly recommend reading the other books in this series before jumping into this one!!) The book gives you a glimpse into Rush's life, why he is the way he is, and what the endgame is for the seven new members. Rush has been labeled "lazy" with a careless attitude. He is often looked over and underestimated by those around him. In reality, he is cold and calculating, paying attention to everything around him and taking notes. He works hard to achieve his singular goal, reaching the endgame. This books isn't as dark as the last 2 in the series but the story still works. That there is a love story in all of the ugly happening makes it even better. There are so many twists and turns in this book, a lot of which I just didn't see coming, but some that I also would like a little more explanation! I hope the next book in the series wraps a lot of what has happened up, especially since this on ends on a pretty big cliffhanger!I'm ready for the end!!

Really liked Rush's story!
It's Sloth's turn now! He's been quietly inserting himself in his brothers' lives, but truly had been there to help and support them. Him getting together with Isabelle seemed a little too fast, but this is almost a novella length book, so that's understandable. All of the Elite Seven had very quick to fall stories, so Rush and Isabelle getting together within a week or so isn't out of the question. Giana has a great way with words, although I'm still not sure if Isabelle is 22 or 24; both ages were given for her in the book. But I like Giana's older woman/younger man books, so that's not a problem for me.

Terrific addition to the series!
A tragic and chilling beginning and a true plot for revenge started this sixth installment of the Elite Seven series. I was hooked and dying to see where things would go next.It was a wild ride from start to finish, and I was on the edge of my seat through much of the drama. Darling wrote an incredible story. The ending left me with even more questions as I prepare to begin the last book. This series has been intense and amazing. I don't want it to end, but I need to see how it will.

4.75 Stars
Loved both main characters, probably my favorite of the seven. Sloth was originally set to be the last book in The Elite series and you can see how much care was taken to tie all the plot lines together. Unfortunately the series got shifted so this became sixth instead of seven. The last few chapters reflect how those two plot lines (Sab and The King of NOLA) had to be unraveled for book seven. Hoping for a great ending in the final book.

Compelling reading that will have you hanging on every word !!!
This series just gets better and better; Gianna Darling is a fantastic author and she showed her talent in this dark 6th installment of the Elite Seven.Rush aka Sloth is my new favourite addition to these boys in the Elite. Previously he has been the laid back one, the one who didn't say a lot; always in the background. In this book he comes into himself, we see a different Sloth to what is portrayed in the previous books. Rush is the black sheep of the Dempsey family, the outcast, he and his Father do not see eye to eye at all. I loved Sloth, he is so charming and smart, laid back and funny but also conniving and devious, you will see Sloth in a totally different light. When he gets his task to defile the Archbishop's daughter Isabelle Savoie; Rush has already decided he doesn't want to play the Elite's sick games and goes out to end them once and for all.A fantastic book that will keep you entertained all the way through with suprises popping up that will make your heart beat just that little bit faster. Lots and lots of angst and tension, swooning sexy moments from Rush and his dirty mouth - what more could I have wanted. I can't wait to read Greed, the conclusion to this awesome series !!!

Brilliant
I was glued to this book. Rush really took on a different aspect to the name sloth. He's so laid back and charming, sweet but devious, not to mention hot as hell!!! I think I may be a little in love with Rush Dempsey. So many times reading I thought wow, didn't see that coming. This series is just getting better and better and I can't wait for the finale. I'm sure Rush and his elite brothers will blow me away.

SLOTH ... mysterious and intriguing
While not my absolute favourite of the the series, SLOTH is placed very close to the top. Giana Darling has done an excellent job of bringing to life one of the most comples of the Seven Deadly Sins. This is my first time reading any of her work ... she nailed it!!!Rush "Sloth" Dempsey has always be a mysterious and intriguing character, forever in the background, mysteriously absent, yet always there when he was needed. Rush is on a mission to discover the truth, his background and a tragedy giving him the impetus to drive him forward. He is smooth, dirty talking and one mighty alpha. He is dark. He is on a journey of revenge to find his redemption.Isabelle Savoie is the total opposite to Rush, so she balances him out perfectly. The daughter of an Archbishop, she has been brought up in a conservative manner, but she is also a target for those who are looking for power. There's another side to this little "church mouse" that none have seen, she has an unbelievable strength gained from adversity. Together her and Rush bring balance to their lives.Giana finally has the seven "brother" finally joining together to formulate a plan in which to stop the insane actions of The Elite. Will their plans finally come to fruition? All will be revealed in GREED. I can't wait for the final outcome.Read and Reviewed for Reading Is Our SatisfactionFIVE STARS
