Turtles (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 1)

My nephew loves this book, It has a lot of interesting information that will keep your child busy for a long time.

NatGeo never disappoints! The pictures are vivid and amazingly detailed. The turtles almost look 3-D! Page after page of all the info you desire about these gentle reptiles.My kindergartener is obsessed with tortoises and turtles. This is his favorite book!

My great grandaughter is 3 yrs old and love anything turtle. She loved the book with pictures and the bag of toy turtles.

Bought this as a gift for a 5 year old’s birthday, and he loved it! He can’t read just yet, but his older brother read it to him, and they both spent the better part of the party enjoying the book together. It has interesting facts about various turtles, and lots of great pictures, so the 5 year old enjoys looking at it even when no one is reading it to him. Great for older ages as well. My own children have some of these Nat Geo Readers as well, and they’ve always enjoyed them. They make so many different ones, so if there’s an animal your child is just crazy about, you’re bound to find a book about it.

The best series ever for young readers. It is very hard to find books for young readers that are based on the natural world. The photos are beautiful, the storyline is full of accurate, interesting, scientific facts about the creatures, and has a vocabulary building review at the back of the book. And each book in this series has several upside down jokes that reference the animal, an added point of interest for Montessori and all children. BTW, I have gotten more than 30 of these books for my classroom. Highly recommended!

i bet the read is good but i was a little disappointed with the condition. for it being new it has wear on it..? but still will make a great gift.

My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat. Geo Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, "pre-readers" as well as Level 1 & 2 readers. She loves them all & will ask for certain ones. The "pre-readers" level books are extremely simple & great because she memorizes the words & can "read" it herself. We love the more advanced ones too, because there is more information to talk about. I have learned quite a few facts, myself!) What a great series. The price is reasonable & pictures are great. These are really getting her interested in nature, animals & science... I will continue to buy these as they are released, for our collection!

Bought it for my niece for Christmas along with her turtle blanket. She demanded her mom read the book to her immediately. Turtles are her favorite animal and very special thing between us.

These books have been accurately rated for each level our grandboys have been reading. They love the illustrations, photos, stories and easily memorize the facts. Highly recommend! Oh - and just the right length for the younger reader.

I love all National Geographic kids books. I teach kindergarten so these are "just right" information books for them to learn about the world around them.
