Refresh your irons so you don't have to purchase a new set!
I purchased the HIFROM Groove Sharpener after reading a review of the product on MyGolfSpy.They suggested that this would be a good alternative to refreshing your set of irons without buying new. They did state that using a groove sharpener would make your clubs illegal for tournament play. Not an issue for me, as I don't play tournaments. I visited some YouTube videos to see how to use the HIFROM tool.Glad I did, as I used some 3 in 1 oil and some electrical tape to assist in my procedure. The videos suggested I find out from the club manufacturer, what shape of grooves my clubs have. I visited the Callaway site and found that my Apex Pro Irons have V grooves. The HIFROM sharpening tool has two different V sharpeners (among the 6 they offer).I used the smaller V first and then finished with the larger V. The process was easy and my irons looked like they had some life left in them.In my one and only game since, I hit 14 GIR. Not sure it was the grooves, but the refreshed look of the irons certainly gave me a boost in confidence. Cooler conditions are moving in to Vancouver Canada and I wasn't able to discern if the grooves had increased my spin rates or not. Approach shots were holding the greens and I was very satisfied with my game.I would recommend the HIFROM Groove Sharpener. I will probably use it a couple of times a year now, putting off an iron set purchase for now.Keep hitting them straight!

It works good, nice and sharp
It has nice sharp teeth on the head with options of shape and size. It cleaned up the grooves easily on my raw TaylorMade wedge (I did not widen or deepen the grooves). I used the narrowest one, not sure what the others would fit. I do think you'd have to be fairly careful and you would probably require strong hands to make it work without slipping and gouging the clubface, and\or have the club secured in a vise. Keep in mind that on a chromed club, you will be removing the chrome, which may lead to rust. You may also be removing enough material to make the club non-conforming, if that matters to you. If it had a guide of some sort it'd be 5 stars.

Needs Instructions on How to Use!
Tool is quality made, Multiple Cutter Options for different types of Grooves. No instructions so tool a while to figure out which cutter to use for my wedges. Some good youtube videos showing how to use. Recommend purchased a rubber shaft vise holder when cutting the grooves.Does it work? Without a way to see spin numbers its hard to tell, I did notice on my sandwedge that the grooves did seem much cleaner after use and on chips I was getting more bite.

Great tool!
This groove sharpener is great! Cleaned up all my wedges like new. First couple round I have done the ball acted line the wedge was brand new. Well worth the money and cost savings from buying a new set of wedges.
