Great story but one major thing pissed me off.
I picked this freebie up on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the story. I had only planned to read a little of it before getting back to work, but continued reading until I finished. It captivated me right from the start and held me hostage, in a good way, until the end. It's a lovely romance about two imperfect people who love each other perfectly. This is the third book I've read with a hot deaf man, the other two being Lover Mine by J.R. Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood series) and Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover. This one reminded me a lot of Hoover's book, perhaps because of the New Adult genre and first person point of view, present tense. Tall, Tatted, and Tempting also had a character say "maybe someday" twice, which made me think it was paying homage to Hoover's Maybe Someday. Then I realized that Maybe Someday was published in March of this year, after TTT, so who knows. It appears most people who had issues with the book were disappointed with the ending. I had no problem with the abruptness of it. I don't know if it was fixed once other books in the series were published or what. But the ending did not bother me. The story felt complete, and I didn't need a nice, tidy bow to feel like it ended satisfactorily. So why not 5 stars??? Because I had a BIG issue with one aspect of the book, so much so that it could not be ignored. Matter of fact, I found it highly annoying and worth a rant.WTF was up with the demonization of the black man?! Bone served no purpose at all other than to be the one villain in the entire novel that tensed everyone up every time he came around. It was hinted that he was a pimp. He was blatantly called a thug. Everyone was wary of him, warning everyone away from him, and implying that he had a bad history. Yet NOTHING was shown about that. None of his history came into play. None of their suspicions were ever found to be warranted. Other than a daily dose of his "You got a place to sleep/man for tonight?" inquiries, his role went nowhere at all. In fact, he had absolutely no purpose in the book other than to be the bad guy amongst saints. Get the eff outta here with that. And I don't know what's worse--that the author went there with Bone...or that of the 356 reviews I perused, NO ONE ELSE NOTICED THIS or at least no one else thought this was necessary to mention. Unless I missed one such concerned reviewer. I really hope I did. I'd hate to think that everyone has become so used to black men being villains, even when it's uncalled for, that they didn't notice how he was portrayed here.Listen--this is not about people of color having to be mentioned with some level of political correctness. They (we) do not. I have read many stories with blacks being called the N-word, and had no problem with it because of the context in which it was stated. If it is a piece about slavery, of course, words like that should be thrown around. With frequency. That's authentic. I am not racially-sensitive to everything I see and hear, so don't get it twisted. When you have a contemporary romance novel with college-aged students (new adult, it's called these days) who are just shooting the breeze, falling in love, and the only time a person's color is mentioned in your story happens to be stereotypically villainous, my eyebrows raise as to what your point is. Or why you are oblivious to the impact of this sort of characterization. I would have rathered this story been like 99% of all the other books in this genre that I've read--completely whitewashed with no people of color at all. Instead, this was a poor attempt at...at what, I don't know, because it was pointless. He served no purpose other than to piss me off at how clueless and reckless an author could be when including a black male character. He was described as "a handsome black man with tall, natural hair", as if most black men walked around with processed hair. And by "tall, natural hair", does that mean a high-top fade or what? This is a FAIL in diversity inclusion.I LOVE diversity and multiculturalism. It is representative of the world we live in. I wish more authors would include it in their work, which is why I make it a point to. I do not shy away from discussions about race/ethnicity/nationality because I think our differences are what make us so beautiful. I love everyone and I want everyone to love everyone. That can't happen when people are either oblivious to biases they have or intentional with it. I can't figure out which one is happening here. Whichever is the case, I hope my thoughts on this will be taken as educational rather than chatisement.I did not intend for this review to turn into a social commentary on diversity in fiction, but damn. I found the introduction of Bone's character REALLY disappointing in an otherwise awesome story. I will be the lone reader to mention it. I will be the one to say this perpetuates the incorrect idea that black men are scary devils/criminals and that this is not cool. **edited to add: You can down vote all you want. I don't expect many to actually care how this affects other readers of Bone's demographic, since no one even noticed it while reading. That doesn't change the fact that this NEEDS to be said from a perspective directly influenced by these negative perceptions on a daily basis. But so much for HOPING people would want to learn from my review.**P.S. I saw some reviewers mention there were no errors in this book. Not true. There are several, but for once they were not my main issue. Examples: "I look up at him, and he looking at me with a warning in his eyes." (Should be HE'S) "Why does any of his matter?" (Should be THIS) Overall, the editing was well done.**Edited to make this correction: John Matthew in J.R. Ward's BDB is actually mute, not deaf.**

Addictive
Stop the Presses!!! Um, sorry I mean what your reading!!!Once in while you come across and book and you read the synopsis and it hits you makes your pulse speed up. This was one of those books. What really caught my attention is that the male lead in the story is not only incredibly hot and smoking sexy and pierced but he is deaf. This is an amazing concept in a story, so different that I had to have it immediately. So why does a character being deaf excite me? Many years ago I had aspirations of going to college to become a teacher specializing in Deaf Education. Life took a bit of a turn for me and due to an ongoing illness I had to leave school. I learned so much about the deaf culture and I fell in love with it. The deaf are not handicapped, please look at them as people that just speak another language. That is how they want to be perceived. Oh and never stare at people having a conversation in sign language it is considered very rude unless you plan to join in. This amazing story starts off with love at first punch! Who knew that a bloody nose could make you fall in love? Logan and Kit (Emily) are the cutest couple, the story is fast paced and gives it all to you right away, the love is not long and drawn out, some would think it happened to quickly, but I am such a believer that when you know you just know. Emily has a few secrets of her own, and until she lets Logan in he will not have sex with her but the things that going on until it happens are sizzling. It kills Logan but he holds out which is hard for him since he was out typical tattooed man whore. There are so many facets of Logan; it is like discovering a shiny new diamond that the world has not seen before. Wait until you read all the amazing things this man does. Emily is bold and strong and so caring, she just melts your heart and you want to wrap her up like a doll and play with her everyday. Her selflessness is amazing in this story and will definitely have you tear up. Emily suffers from something as well, but I do not want to tell you about it because it is part of learning her story, and not known right of the bat. It has just as much importance to the story though and I did not want my readers to read back this review and think I did not feel it was as important. Tammy Falkner did an amazing job with this story; she uses the use of ASL American Sign Language and lip reading, which not all deaf people can do. The way she details how Logan can’t hear her unless she is looking at him. No detail is left out. I love how she used the use of vibration so he could hear the music or her laugh but touching with his hand. It is just so beautiful. I once went to a dance club for the deaf and let me tell you, bring earplugs because the music is so much louder than a regular club. This is a series and there is a book 2 and it is out now, it does end in a cliff but not an unhappy one. It does not matter because the second book is available now and I am going to start about 30 seconds after I finish this review. Guess What!!!! There is a third book that is about one of the other Reed Brothers; you are going to love them all. Go click this series now; it is not one you want to miss. I JUST LOVE IT!!!!

A new adult contemporary romance
Tall, Tatted and Tempting is a new adult romance and book one of The Reed Brothers series. Kits has been living on the streets of New York after she ran away from her Californian home. She’s been saving money from busking and wants a tattoo.Logan is mesmerised by the girl who has come to his family tattoo shop; she is beautiful in his eyes, but she’s hiding something. He stumbles with his first impressions, messes up his opening words, gets a broken nose for his efforts and loses the girl.I really enjoyed this story, the characters were so interesting. Logan has been deaf for eight years and he hasn’t spoken since he was teased about the way he spoke in the school playground, while Kit is dyslexic, which made communication between them different and challenging. Logan lives with his four brothers and I liked learning about all their family dynamics, especially how they supported one brother who was going through cancer treatment. The sexual tension was high and the romance hot, but it suited the story. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

Should be one book not two
I sort of liked this book. Logan is deaf and hasn't talked for years. Kit, or Emily, has dyslexia and can't read well. It's an odd romance. Kit goes to Logan for a tattoo but ends up punching him. He has a reason to talk again and in perfect sentences no less! He's crazy about her but her secrets keep them apart. Until she has to do something selfless for his family. I am annoyed that it ended and has a continuation in the next book. Not going to buy it.

Fantastic read totally captivating from start to finish
MY REVIEWI bloody loved every word in this book could not put it down, i found it impossible not to love the main characters and all the brothers, WOW, what a wonderful bunch of dysfunctional sweet hearts, they are rough and ready but know the real meaning of sticking together and what family truly means. This is a brilliant concept of a book, it is so refreshingly different not one i have read before, this is one of those stories that you find yourself thinking about days after, at the beauty of the plot and characters. This book is about two people living very different lives who happen to have a chance meeting that changes there whole lives, life will not be the same for either of them ever again.Logan is such a selfless character he is beautiful deep down to his soul, i have a total Logan crush going on right now!I loved Kit's spirit and there first meeting what an awesome scene that was. Kit is so brave and courageous. The biggest thing i loved about this book is that both Kit and Logan have a difficulty that in daily lift they must overcome, but together there difficulty seems to disappear, they are just two people.Tammy brought such a connection between these amazing characters to life and there sexual Chemistry was off the chart hot to the point i wasn't sure they wouldn't com bust, but i really liked the way Logan pushed more for Kit's trust than to get into her panties.Tall, tatted and tempting' is so much more than its title suggests i feel like this story has touched my soul, its just such a beautiful story i cannot stop gushing about it to all my friends. The end left me wanting more so much more so im diving right into Smart, Sexy, and Secretive!Fantastic read totally captivating from start to finish.

Honest Review
The book starts off when Kit goes the the tattoo shop for a new tattoo there she meets Logan who is the tattooist, there they find themselves in a spot of trouble as Kit punches Logan in the nose after he tries to find out where she wants her new tattoo he reaches out and drags one finger down the slope of her breast then bam she punches him, Kit walks out but drops her tattoo design, the design intrigues Logan so he decides he wants the tattoo but with one change.Logan became deaf at the age of thirteen, he never has problems getting the ladies as they fall at his feet, he lives with his two older brothers and two younger brothers.Kit is running from her past, she won't reveal her real name or what she is running from, she goes busking with her guitar in the subway tunnel by Central Park and takes refuge in the local shelters at night when they are available.Logan see's Kit busking and wants to take her to dinner, they do but when he wants to walk her home that's when he finds out where she stays at night, unfortunately the shelter is full so Logan takes her back to his apartment, there relationship begins. Will Kit reveal her real name and why she is running from her past?I really did enjoy this book and read it one sitting, I loved Kit and Logan, both characters were extremely likeable right from the beginning, we also get to meet Logan's brothers they was also really good characters, storyline was brilliant, written really well, I have enjoyed it so much I have purchased the next installment and can't wait to pick up where this book left off.

A magical story
Words cannot express how much I love this story. I love everything about it. The Reed brothers and Emily/kit.A romance story where there are so many barriers between them. I've never read a story like it. The author has done a fantastic job with the plot and the characters.I read this book for the first time a few years ago and it is still a book I read over and over again. This story is not all gushing romance or all sex everywhere. The perfect balance between a beautiful love story with some steamy scenes.I will continue re-reading this story over and over. It is fabulous.
