It is alright and should do the job for a lighter winch
I installed a 6000 lb winch on this hitch mount (had to drill new holes) and it should do fine. As a side note I also this year made up a 12,000lb Harbor freight winch and using a Harbor Freight hitch mount. The Harbor Freight hitch mount was heavier and better re-enforced to handle the heavier loads. Albeit the Harbor Freight hitch did cost about $20 more.

Chrome handles are nice
Put a 13,000 pound Viper Winch on it. Have pulled and twisted, this cradle takes it all. Mine showed up without the handle bolts but Amazon made it right. I particularly like that the handle portion of this mount is chrome. Seems like it will be a lot more durable than powder coat, long-term grabbing it and unhooking over and over again.I guess I get why the handles are adjustable because you can make them wide enough to protect the winch if you were to drop this whole thing but honestly, the most upright position is about the only position that is comfortable for carrying a winch that weighs 80 pounds.I’m happy happy with it

Wrong but good enough
Surprisingly strong unit. Paint chip easily but that's to be expected. As others have mentioned, the hole is drilled WRONG and makes the D-ring hang sideways but I just drilled another hole in the proper location.All in all a good deal.

Sits nice. But I’d like to see one change.
Bought this for an off-road trip. Great value, fits fine, but if it had another set of holes to allow you to lay it horizontal it would be perfect… the bright color of shackle makes it easy to keep an eye on in the truck.

Works on Subaru Crosstrek
I have a 2 inch receiver that is custom made for the Subaru Crosstrek. This is long enough to reach the pin hole as well as clear the bumper. The only thing is I wish it had holes to flip it sideways so its horizontal and not vertical. I will drill new holes if need be but wish it had previously drilled holes for either way.
