Eagle ClawFeatherlight Spinning Rod 2 PC 6' UL Glass

This rod is so amazingly good, I bought a second one for my brother-in-law, who also thought it was really nice and wants one of his own. The other day I went to a fishing shop and started talking to the owner and mentioned Eagle Claw rods to him and he looked at me like I had just dumped a bag of dog poo on his counter. I didn't push it further, but while I realize that more expensive rods do feel better, nothing beats Eagle Claw in terms of entry-level price and quality. The shop owner tried to sell me an entry-level Daiwa rod but it was still a little more expensive, cheaper-feeling, and shorter than my 6ft Featherlight. I've slammed the door on this rod while transporting it in two pieces, and apart from a barely visible scratch on both pieces, the rod shows no sign of giving up on me. Fiberglass is no joke and it's a pretty good idea for an entry-level rod. My next rod will definitely be another eagle claw!

Not quite sure what some folks expect in a $20 rod but I find this product to be an exceptional value. It’s incredibly light, remarkably sensitive & honestly feels good in the hands. I’ve used it primarily jigging for trout & crappie with 1/32 & 1/16 oz jig heads with no issues casting them whatsoever. Dollar for dollar I’d make this purchase over & over again.

I own many rods for all types of fishing, but this is my go to rod out of all of them. I have 3 of these now and they are amazing for panfishing as well as trout. But if you are looking for a fun fight and to really get the most out of these they make great Walleye rocks for drifting. The fight on these whether it’s a 2lb Walleye or a 4” Bluegill feels like fighting a tuna. Very durable if you don’t treat it like a hooligan!

Good rod for price. Eyes are just a bit big especially on tip. Easy to reel small jig through it. Could be smaller. What little have used it; like it so far.

These feather light rods are great for panfish. Sure make catching small fish fun but will handle larger fish, too. Kind of a noodle action but still just enough backbone for good hooksets. Can’t lose fish with this rod. Durable eyes and a solid reel seat. I love this rod. I have an old model of this rod that has to be at least 25 years old. This one should last, too.

After reading all the reviews and still buying one. I have to say if you are breaking this rod then you are doing something you are not supposed to be doing with it. Yeah, you hook into something monstrous, happens to us all. So cut you line, you know you risk snapping an ultra lite trying to drag it in. Love the rod so I bought a second one. By the way they are so inexpensive if you do get brave and want to muscle in that 20 pound cat, go ahead. Makes for a good story and then you can just buy another one...

Great rod, got the ultralight, very sensitive and still lots of backbone. Solid contruction and there is a ruler on the rod which is quite handy! One of my favorite rods to fish for fun with.
