Universal Cell Phone Retro Handset (Yellow)

When this was delivered I initially hated it. It was big, it was clunky, and although it was light, I realized I wanted something hands free. Then I decided to keep it and have been happy with it ever since. Here's why: it is impossible to lose. It is big and yellow and I can always find it when I need it. The audio quality - both incoming and outgoing is very good - good microphone, good speakers. And the big one: my husband has a Windows mobile phone and every other device we tried - including many hands free ones - the microphone did not work with the combination of his voice and his phone. I couldn't hear him on the other end. This one worked! Of course all wired headsets will put distance between brain and microwave emissions, which is what we were trying to accomplish.

Works Great! Of course, as usual, I made some changes: I wante4d to use it on one of those remote handsets that come with a base telephone setup. To do this, I had to substitute a 2.1 MM stereo phone plug for the 3.5MM 4-conductor plug the retro handset comes with. I connected the mic to the tip, the speaker to the ring and the mic and speaker returns to the barrel. Could have used an adapter plug but my result plugs directly in the remote handset. Your use may require more versatility. (I also voided the warranty with this approach!
