Cal Hawk Tools BSPUJ2PI 2 Piece Impact Universal Joint Set

Man, I needed some of these for my impact wrenches. These are not Snap-On quality, but have not yet broken on me. I suspect that they will, eventually, but I see no evidence of an impending failure after several five-tire rotations on my Jeep and removal of about a dozen badly rusted nuts from my suspension. So far, so good. The price was very good and I got Prime shipping, so I was able to justify buying this item alone. If you have to pay shipping then it is a good, inexpensive add-on to a larger order. These are great to have in the tool box!

I had to replace the rotors on a vehicle that had been through 15 Michigan winters (lots of corrosion to say the least. Between the exhaust and suspension there were no good angles to an impact on the mounting bolts, universal joints were my only option. These held up and allowed me to get them off. I can't speak as to how long they will last, but if you are a weekend wrenches and need a set for the occasional tough job these will definitely do the trick. I used them with a Milwaukee electric (corded) 1/2 inch impact with no complaints.

The 1/2 stood up to constant abuse with the Ingersoll Rand 2235 timax for a year and finally broke. 3/8 still hasnt broken yet. Went ahead and ordered 2 more sets of these. Got a 3/8 and 1/2 off tool truck for primary use, and have two sets of these for reliable backups in between weeks when the tool truck comes. 1/2 lasted a year of abuse with the best gun on the market. Would definitely buy these 10 times over

So far, I have only used the 1/2" universal. It worked great, and gave me access with an impact gun to some very tight spots. It's a good idea to use a couple drops of oil on the ball to allow for smoother articulation. Although these are larger than a set of dedicated universal sockets, they will work great in all but the tightest of situations.

They're still intact after years of abuse at an automotive repair shop.

Received this package in an adequate time. Made of chrome moly like my sockets from Snap-On. When dry, the swivel seems a little gritty. So I oiled it up and made it smoother. So far no major complaints for these. Great price for these.

Arrived 2 days earlier than expected. Doesn't happen often with some sellers. Thanks!Sockets are a bit bulky. Bought this for a huge auto repair job and didn't fit in thought spaces but will definitely work for the awkward angles.

These two fellows did a superb job then my regular universal joint rookies I used both pneumatic and regular ratchet, breaker bar. I did finished replacing my clutch set in a few hours.the thing was I could use my existing sockets and it is spring loaded to center it itself and angle of torque kept in check unlike universal joints, if the line of torque goes beyond the radius, the tool falls off or damages the bolt head/nut. Great purchase.
