I'm on the fence about this. I used 3 T. of cacao and a coffee press. The chocolate flavor was good, but I had to use extra grounds. The more sweetener, the more pronounced the chocolate flavor. Added a little creamer. It's like special dark cocoa powder mixed with water. Kinda pricey for the amount you get. Not sure I would buy it again. I'll have to see if it grows on me.Updating to say this has grown on me. I like it. But I have to use 3 T. and definitely use creamer and sweetener. It is pricey. I will get it again but do not drink it daily. Has nice chocolate flavor.

This stuff is great and it is all that the product says that it is! Only drawback is the large amount that is needed to make a good pot of brew, so the bag will only make a few pots. Nice for a delicious treat. Also can be mixed with coffee grounds for a mocha blend. Good product, just a little expensive for every day use.

I waited for 15 days to finally receive this product, from the date Crio stated that it shipped. I was really looking forward to trying this.I made it exactly according to the instructions, in a Mr. Coffee coffee maker, with a gold filter insert as they recommended.The taste is like severely watered down chocolate, to the point where I could not finish it.Perhaps, they have the instructions wrong, but this was the worst tasting drink that I have had in more than 30 years. Thankfully, I only got the smallest size. I am only out of less than $16.

I tried a different one - same brand but not from Venezuela - just so I could get a bigger package and save a little money. It was ok but I won't buy that one again.I will buy this again but only to treat myself on occasion. If I could get it in a bigger package, with lower price per ounce, I might use this daily. The taste is AWESOME.PS. Don't try this in a coffee maker. I did. Not sure what made the difference but it worked fine the first time. The second time it made a mess. I now use it in my french press.

Tastes good, but is too expensive. El Bustelo is just as good but WAY less expensive.

I made this brew in a 16 ounce french press and followed the directions on the bag to the letter. The unadultered results had some weak chocolate flavor but was nothing like the intensive flavor of a good coffee. I added milk and a sweet and low packet, but that didn't help much except to give it some body. Then, I realized it needed some form of plant sugar to bring out the flavor so I added some Lyles Golden syrup- much better! Still not coffee but an acceptable hot drink with hopefully less caffeine- I can't stand decaf tea or coffee, but find a hot cup of something a few times a day to be relaxing. Maple syrup or honey might be just as good, or another plant based sweetener such as Stevia.
