Overpriced, poor quality, bad fitting, not worthy of the Otterbox Strada series
I had the same model Otterbox case for my iPhone 8 Plus, and this current case for the iPhone XS Max is inferior in every way - quality of materials, precision of fit, even the design. Whilst it is a leather finish, there were clear scuff marks on the leather, and a raised ‘bubble’ on the flap. The flap doesn’t close flush, meaning the magnetic catch isn’t aligned. This means any kind of drop with a spin or knock will likely cause the flap to fly open, which defeats the purpose of having a case with a flap!Even the inside is inferior to the previous model. In my IPhone 8 Plus Otterbox case, the back inside lining was felt, perfect for protecting the back of the iPhone from scuffs. This just has plastic. My previous case had a clever crease on the back which allowed the front flap to act as a stand for the phone. This model doesn’t.Finally I suspect the materials used have also decreased in quality. They just feel ‘cheap’ - completely opposite to the feel of the previous model.Prior to getting this, I would have strongly recommended Getting the Otterbox Strada series, as two previous phones have been saved from otherwise catastrophic drops. I am so disappointed in this, I have asked for an immediate refund.

Volume buttons too hard to press
I have used Otto box cases Before and have been very pleased with the quality and protection that they afford. However, the latest case for the iPhone promax 12 has an issue with the volume control buttons. It’s very hard to press the buttons To operate the volume going up or down and to do a quick screenshot. In order to press the volume button up or down you almost need to hold the phone in a special way to force the button to be pressed which is not what you’d expect. I’m hoping that the bottom will ease over time and make it easier however I may need to speak with the supplier and get a new case which works more effectively than this one. It’s a shame because the case is self is great quality, the cover Is attractive and the case will clearly protect the phone for the time that I have it. If the manufacturer read this I would be most interested to hear their feedback on this product and issue I have raised.

Disappointed for the price
Due to the late availability of the genuine Apple leather case for iPhone 12 Pro I decided to go with Otterbox as a trusted brand that was already selling cases on Apple's own site. I am very disappointed in what is a very premium priced case. The front flap can be difficult to open as it requires a well placed finger nail to get in a slight gap to open. Additionally if you fully open so that the magnets stick the flap to the rear of the case, even though I'm an able bodied male I have struggled at times to pull it back away as the magnets are so strong in this direction.Another cause of major frustration is with the volume controls which are almost impossible to operate in the case as they are so stiff to press, even with the flap open. The power button is fine, but the volume ones are too stiff and are not freeing up with use.The case does feel like it will protect the phone in a drop, but the negatives above mean that I regret my purchase as it no way justifies its premium price tag.

Doesn’t support MagSafe
The case is a nice case but should hold two cards in ,unfortunately it can’t or the case won’t close properly.,the volume buttons on the outside of the case are not easy to press and although it says supports MagSafe it most definitely doesn’t which is a disappointment considering that’s why I bought the case .The plus side is my phone is protected but the price I paid is expensive when it doesn’t do what it says it will do .I wouldn’t buy again

Not as good as previous?
I bought this brown version as I have a previous burgundy model (see pics). Brown is model in top pic and right pic. I prefer that the older model has a flap on the front which helps open the case. The new one does not, requiring long fingernails to open. Internally the older model has a thicker rim but this is softer than the newer version. The new version also has 2 card holders. At the time of purchase the only available colours were brown or black. I would have preferred some more colourful choices such as blue, green or purple.

A backward step
This is my third consecutive OtterBox Strada; my previous versions were on my XS Max and 11 Pro Max, and this one is a definite backward step.It actually looks better than the other two because the closing flap on the front cover has been removed. The previous cases had a small flap that clipped over the right side of the case and could get in the way when sliding the phone in and out of pockets. Now the front cover sits flush like the lid of a box so it looks much sleeker. However, because the flap is now gone, the front cover doesn’t sit as securely when sliding in and out of pockets and can move. When the case is open and folded, the front cover secures onto the back of the case much firmer than it does the front and it can be a swine to release. The raised edges of the main body of the case are quite sharp for rubber. Also, the volume buttons need to be pressed overly firm in order to get them to work. It’s almost as though Apple only gave OtterBox a week’s notice to get this case designed and through production. It seems like a real rush job that was done knocked out when the quality control team were on holiday. On a positive note, the case does look very smart and the leather feels premium. Mine is black and, paired up with the graphite Pro Max, it looks really classy. It’s refreshingly easy to get the phone in and out of the case and, being an OtterBox, the protection should be as good as it gets. I just hope the testing team did a better job than the quality control team.I’m quite disappointed with this case and I’m relieved that I ordered an OtterBox Symmetry case at the same time. That case is five stars and bang on the money, which makes this one all the more disappointing.
