This works well as a mobile lamp. I use it in my rental with a smart plug to keep the place looking lived in. I like the stable base that prevents it from falling over onto the carpet. It also looks modern if you want to use it in a more permanent manner.

Great lamp for price

This is one of those products that does exactly what it says it will do and nothing else. The base feels a little bit cheap, but it holds Edison light bulbs very well. I also like the switch to turn it on/off, very responsive and not right next to the base. Way smaller than a regular table lamp but provides equal amount of light, so it is good for space saving. Also looks cute!

I'm using this for a heat emitter for my tarantula enclosures (niche use, I know). I wanted a simple, upward facing socket that I could screw the heat emitter into. Since those get so hot, they require a ceramic socket, rather than plastic like you see on most lower-priced bases. This one is indeed ceramic and should work well. I like how simple and non-flashy it is, it's just what I needed.

I must say for the price I wasn’t expecting anything too fancy however this lamp base is really nice! The metal used is nice quality, the lamp itself is pretty large and it works perfectly. It compliments my set up just nicely. Should have bought a few more of them. I recommend to anyone looking for a basic lamp because you’re trying to feature the bulb and not the lamp itself.

This base lamp works perfectly for my ceramic tree. Cord is very good quality as well as included on/off switch. Original base on tree was damaged and cord a little shabby. To replace as original, quite costly. Tree set perfectly on lamp base and looks nice. Base, cord replacement $10.00. These vintage trees worth some investment.

I wanted to put an Edison bulb into the socket with a decorative glass jar on top as an alternative to cramming battery-powered fairy lights into it all.If the base was wider and flatter, I would feel more confident.
