The "universal" throttle replacement kits you find in every store are complete garbage and have never adequately repaired any tractor or riding mower I've tried to use them on.I was about to give up and spend over $60 for over from Toro when I found these. Perfect fit in the dash of my tractor. Much heavier duty cable and lever. The t handle can be removed with a bit of heat and some wiggling, then it slides right in place of the original.The higher quality cable is night and day compared to the ones you find in stores. I was able to route it exactly where I needed to with a couple pretty tight turns that would've never worked with the cheap ones.If you need a dash mount throttle or choke, stop looking and buy these. They will save you hours of frustration and disappointment.

I have a really old "White" brand lawn tractor, it's probably 25 years old, and the throttle control on the dashboard started failing. The plastic housing had gotten so brittle it could hold back against the cable when you pushed it, so it wouldn't move the throttle on the motor. I knew finding an exact replacement would be either impossible or ridiculously expensive, so I just hunted around for a universal that look liked it'd fit and this one looked like it would work.The pros:It's cheap, it does exactly what you need, it's solidly build, mounts up strong.The cons:The lever is stiff, the cable was very hard to trim, a side cutter didn't work for me, I had to cut it with a hacksaw.Lastly, I think the travel on this (distance between low and high) is universally large, larger than I needed, so you may want to check that. When I first installed it, I had trouble with the engine running correctly, even at full throttle like I did with the old one (which worked fine). After some tinkering, I realized the "full throttle" of this was probably giving the engine too much gas and flooding it. In my particular case, half throttle on this product is full throttle on my old lever.Now that I know how to run it, it works great as a cheap replacement.

Let me start off my saying that I was so impressed with the quality of this product that I purchased another one to replace the choke on a 1976 C-120 tractor. It's made by Stens, which is well-known for offering quality replacement parts for lawn care equipment, and must say that this product stands as a testament to their reputation. What I did not know was the "T" handle is not removable, and that's my own fault for not asking before purchasing. However, I was able to drill out the pressed-in pivot bolt and install the control handle thru the dash panel. Replaced the pivot bolt with a 1/4-20 and lock nut. Then tightened it to get just the right amount of resistance as you move the control handle up or down. Also shortened the cable before installing.I highlly recommend this product for anyone looking to replace a throttle control cable.

Great shipping. Next day. I had to flip it. Apparently there’s a left and a right. It’s pressed together so you can’t spin it to make it right. I ended up covering the direction on the tiller with duct tape and remarked it. 😂

The broadcast spreader I bought was of excellent quality, but it’s control was mounted on a short handle on the spreader. This necessitated having to start and stop the material flow by being dismounted from the tractor. This would cause material begin flow befor the tractor was in motion AND flow continuing until dismounted to turn off the spreader control. In both instances fertilizer would pile up in one spot and burn the lawn. Replacing the original spreader control with this cable control means control of the spreader flow gate (start & stop flow) while moving. No more fertilizer burned spots on lawn. Quality cable control with many, many potential custom uses.

Works great. A bit long. Need to drill holes on throttle cable lever bracket a touch wider but well worth it. Will likely work on other older JD mowers such as a 316 and 318 as well

Forget the poor quality plastic ones they sell at cantire, this is all metal and fits right in(26hp Briggs vtwin on a craftsman lawn tractor.)
