UVC Germicidal HVAC UV Light Sanitizer Air Purifier - 2 Bulbs - 72 Watts 120 V Lamp

This is my 2nd unit in 3 years due to the bulb socket failing.I hope they will address the failing socket issue in future models.The unit did a great job dealing with mold and viruses!I've had NO colds, flu, or Covid symtoms in 3 years!!!

Very powerful and great value

This unit delivers 72 watts of UV light so it's more intense than other offerings. Further, the bulbs are 14 inches long which does a better job of spanning the ductwork. The installation instructions called for two 1.8 inch diameter holes in the ductwork to allow mounting. The lamp sockets measured over 2 inches which meant the 1.8 inch holes weren't large enough to allow mounting. I made a template (not supplied by the vendor) which allowed sufficient clearance for the lamps and socket to pass through. Once done, the unit mounted and worked perfectly. I would recommend this unit with the understanding that mounting is not a "slam dunk". Update: At two months in, the unit is working flawlessly. The physical construction is quite robust.

Good value for the product.

This unit installed easily. It is large enough for my 4,600 sf house. It worked great, but for less than a week. The ballast failed. No voltage on any of the lamp contacts. Neither Sellers not Manufacturers website had any information about replacement ballast.

Do your homework look up the ozone emitted from using this product. I probably would have gone a different route. I/E better filter , or room stand alone filter system.I ended up putting a 24 hour timer on it and removed 1 bulb. I have it turned on once a day for 1/2 an hour.Which may still be too often.It comes with bulbs that are supposed to be ozone free, but the ozone smell is really strong if it’s on all the time. Also tried using a air pressure switch to turn it on and off. That didn’t work for me.

First thing is the wire contacts to the lamp sockets are not soldered in and they can pull out.Secondly, either the bulbs are poorly made or the ballast is. After installation, I turned I the unit on and from an adjacent portal, used to clean the ducts, I could see an intense white light and only a dim blue hue. Carefully peeking into the portal, only one lamp was lit...and dimly at that! I had 2 other new lamps from a previous unit (which lasted a year) and it took out both new lamps on the same port.Not a trustworthy product.😕
