Max and Neo Double Handle Traffic Dog Leash - Reflective, Donates to Dog Rescue (Black, 6 FT)

This is our 2nd Max and Neo dog leash for our 65 pound rescue lab mix. The other has lasted 4 years getting daily dog walk use. We love the double handles to keep her close to us or to have a bit more room to roam on the full (6 foot) leash. Everything on this leash has been sturdy, durable, and works well. We also appreciate the reflective trim on the leash for nighttime potty walks. Worth the money and glad that the company contributes to dog rescue org. Will continue to use this company's products.

This is a great leash. I love the lower handle which I find much more convenient and comfortable as opposed to a handle on a halter. My pup is very responsive to it. Sturdy construction. Of course I love the fact that a portion of proceeds go to rescue of dogs.

When I found my Husky in the desert I immediately started training and his trainer gave us a similar leash that I absolutely loved, but unfortunately, my dog chewed it in half while he was tethered outside with me during yard work. I purchased this leash because it looked very similar. I love the double handles for our walks. The second handle located about 12 inches from where it connects to the collar is in the perfect spot for my 5’5” frame and my large 65 lb Husky. Living in the country, I need to keep an eye out for wildlife before my dog notices and this leash allows me to quickly grab hold of the second handle without interrupting our walk or alerting him. The handles are very well padded, and the 6’ length is perfect for allowing my dog to wander and sniff out interesting scents. It connects and clasps with ease. I purchased the Teal and love the color which matches my dogs multi-colored no-slip collar. It is easy to find in my black interior truck while parked in the garage or parking structures. The leash appears to be very sturdy, and I have had no problems with it when my Husky decides to start pulling. When he starts pulling, I stop until he figures out I’m not moving until he comes to heel before proceeding with our walk. I’ve purchased this leash twice now because my Husky managed to chew through the first one after I left it on him during a car ride. That was my mistake. He hates wearing his seat belt, harness, and/or leash in the car and will chew through whatever one he can get his teeth on. Despite this, I repurchased the same leash to replace the chewed-up one. I highly recommend this leash – and – the description states each leash purchased; they donate an identical leash to a dog rescue. Check out their website to see their programs.

Very sturdy and well made. I really like the handle near the collar end which is great when I want to keep the dog near me. My dog is 64 pounds and I’m able to easily control him with this leash.

TLDR: Happy husky. High quality (name brand), pretty, above all comfortable and strong. Why I bought it: Bought this to replace a very similar style leash that ended up in a river while tubing with my husky. I need a strong leash with high-visibility for night-time walks in an urban area, that will also stand up to long hikes in the mountains. I did a lot of research as I expect leashes to last 10yrs minimum and would rather spend more up front. The fact they donate leashes to rescue dogs is a big plus for me. Strength This leash is thick and sturdy enough for any size or strength dog (by that I mean the amount of force this leash could withstand exceeds what your dog could/should). It is plenty strong enough that if she went too far over the edge trying to swim in a river I could pull her up with this leash and her harness. The tradeoff is that strong=heavy. Looks: It's a leash. The purple color is very vibrant and the retro-reflective material is high-vis at night. I like colorful leashes as her fluffy fur obscures any sight of her collar. I'm not taking this leash in the river/lake though, it's just too pretty. Function: The handle and traffic lead are both padded which is nice. There is an additional D ring at the handle for clipping a poop-bag dispenser which sounds like it doesn't matter but actually places the dispenser out of the way from where your hand is holding the leash. It's such a tiny thing but makes a huge difference in comfort on long walks.

Fairly decent leash. more of a 3.5 than a 4. Holding up well with a German Shepherd. Its thinner and not as wide as the leash it replaces and hence does not feel as strong. The second handle is great wish it was placed a few inches further back but overall works well. The clip for the collar though is a little small and the shape is a little difficult to easily manipulate. Most of the time I need two hands and maybe a couple tries if the dog moves at all. The previous leash it was easier to work, and a bit larger and often I could do it one handed. However that one was not reflective and I wanted to give us a little more visibility to drivers at night. I do use a flashlight but just because they see the light does not mean they see the dog. Been using it for a month so far and its holding up just fine.

The leash is made very well ! Very durable.

I needed a longer leash to replace the Truelove one I have, which I love but it's only 3.6 inches long. Wanted to give my dog a bit more freedom, so bought this leash. Tried it out today, and here are my early impressions. It's very comfortable to hold. Both handles are padded. I love the D ring. No longer have to carry poop bags, can just tie it to the ring. My dog is a very strong puller when he see's a squirrel or cat, and my only worry is that this leash may snap. It's the same width as other leashes I have, but those have an extra layer stitched to them. But I can't take any stars off what I think may happen. Aside from that, its a really good leash. The price is a bit higher than others, but considering they donate 1 to 1 to a shelter, well worth it. If I don't have any issues with it snapping, I'll continue buying from here.

The best dog leads I’ve ever purchased and used. I’ve bought and tried many over the past 30 years and these are superior in quality, comfort and functionality. The double handle is perfect for helping control my big dogs when I need them close, my hands don’t hurt and the clasp is very strong.

Three things I wanted to put across here to educate others to think before ordering this product:- 1. Length: Length is too long which may not suitable for big dogs to control over pulling. 2. Handle position: Handle position might have given better place than what it was. It is not easy to catch the handle as the length is too long. Even the cushion inside the handle is not sufficient. 3. Too Sharp Edges (Leash) :- The leash is too sharp to control the dog while pulling or bouncing on other dogs while walking. It will cut your hand. Overall if the supplier make changes on these things it would become better product. Otherwise waste of money for sure.

Good leash. Held up well and is comfortable to use.
