Quality board and instructions
The Product came in the specified condition, all parts were as described. The kit came with a neat booklet that I love Elenco electronics for, it explains how to assemble the boards and why it works the way it does. They could have included the jumper wires for some parts of the board, but I guess it was more economical for them to not do that. I neglect this because I have plenty of wire from my other electronics projects kits.

Great practice for soldering
Mine isn't working 100%, but that's undoubtedly because I had a component in backwards. Great practice for soldering, though, and that's what I bought it for.

Terrible Kit, Cheap quality, Don't waste your money
I thought this would be fun as I had built one in school in 1980, and wanted to do this kit.Well after 6 hours of messing with it, it didn't even work! The solder tabs would not let the solder adhere to them, had to have soldering pen at over 700 degrees, some just came off the board, 2 broke off and had to add wire or more solder, the board quality is really poor with copper being super thin. And after all was finally done, it didn't even work!3 LED's on one side stay on all the time, and 3 on the other side just keep flashing! Red button does nothing.I've done a couple other ones from other brands and they were easy and great to do, and also they worked as described!Very disappointed. If I could get my money back I would, but being it has been put together, of course they won't.Don't buy.

OKAY FOR A CLASSROOM PROJECT, HAS ITS PROBLEMS
I've built many such kits, and this one was kinda fun (see photo). You get a PCB, all components, but no 9v battery. I replaced the slide switch with a toggle switch and mounted the finished board and battery in a box, drilling holes in it so the switches and LEDs stick out (see photo). To be clear, THE KIT DOES NOT COME WITH A BOX.As Alex T says, even when constructed properly, this unit freezes at fairly frequent intervals, requiring a power-cycle it to get it working again. I don't believe this is a problem with the chips, but with the circuit design. The instructions include both construction details and principles of operation, including how the logic chips work. This would make the kit useful for an introductory electronics course. As explained, both of the dice do "roll," but the second die rolls at a rate 10X as fast as the first -- too fast to detect with the eye.All told, a fun project, but I wish its operation was more reliable. I'll probably give the final product to one of my grandkids.

Soldering process is fine, but the final product is flawed.
The kit was complete, and included everything needed. The ICs and their carriage were inserted into a protective foam block to ensure the pins weren't bent/broken, which was a nice touch. However, the quality of the product overall was quite low. As others have mentioned, some of the copper tracks are poorly bonded which resulted in errant behavior in the final product. What's more, it appears one or more of the ICs were rather buggy. The completed product resulted in one die showing proper "rolling" animation, while the other is static. Upon pressing the button, both dice do show a random value properly. Between 1 and 10 presses of the button later, the entire chip freezes and you have to turn it off and back on to continue using it.Overall, a good experience with soldering, but a low quality end-product.

Nice Little Project
Pretty nice little project. When switched on, it constantly blinks until you press the button which stops the dice on the numbers you roll.

Nice and kids friendly
Nice and kids friendly. Wish the button function was reverse. Currently shows rolled dice when pressed, rolls when released. To easy to loose track of the last number. Should have been roll while pressed, stop when released.

Don't Buy This
I purchased this item for my wife's brother which has very little use of his hands but loves to play dice games and board games,,,I have been in the electronics field for some 40 years you can name it and I have probably built it so this was no challenge for me to put to gather and it did not work,...I checked the diodes all good checked the led's all good and yes everything was installed per their directions really pretty simple compared to some things I have built on a scale of one to ten this was a 0 really..so I have sent the company two emails and no reply at all so I would stay away from this if I do get some reply I will post it here.........

Badly designed.
This kit doesn't seem to cycle through each led singly but in pairs, you can tell this by following the traces, so you'll see many of the same pairs lit over and over. It's ok for a little bit of solder practise but it's not a satisfying project after the soldering when you want to use it with games.
