These frames are sturdy. I like the fact that they are not glass. I put my diamond paintings in them, using the mat. They cropped the pictures, but gave an interesting effect. For the price I paid, and the quality of the frames, well worth the money. I would have liked a smaller mat, but the work looks professional, and I am no good at cutting mats.

This print is part of a series showcasing various statewide locales. We received the New Jersey version which playfully includes the various inland and seaside attractions. If only it was so easy to get to the various portions of this state with its North, South and Central divisions but it is fun to view how the artist humorously interprets this mostly overpopulated state. At least the Pine Barrens in the South relieve some of that. The print is a high density scan on museum quality paper designed to look like an embroidered piece and it pretty much succeeds. The artwork and the printing are both USA based and it's refreshing to find something proudly produced in this country. It is shipped without a frame in a stiff cardboard package which arrived in perfect shape. I decided to frame it with a mat as depicted in the photo. No matter which state your looking for this would make a fine addition to anyone's wall.

It arrive packaged well with no damage. The frame has very little flex when twisted and appears to be made really well. It IS mass produced so it's not going to be the quality of a custom made frame. Although not expensive art quality, it is great for a photograph. The frame corners were mitered well with no gaps or overhangs. The frame coloring was even and had no blemishes. The backing retaining clips fit into the frame slots well with none loose. The acrylic sheet, like all acrylic sheets, will scratch easily so handle it very carefully. Both sides of the acrylic has protective film to remove. I'm not a big fan of the hangers on the backing plate, mine are holding fine but they do look as if they might come off if pulled. I would have like to see a small rivet holding them on. Since it does not have a glass pane, it's very light and probably won't break the hangers. If you are concerned, you could easily modify the hangers prior to hanging. I'll modify mine if it comes loose, but as light as it is, I doubt it will. I'm pretty happy overall. I was expecting a very poorly made frame but it's actually made pretty well for an inexpensive frame.

Good value for the price!

I must admit, for the price, I was not expecting this 12X12 frame to be so well made and so nicely packaged for shipping with protective corners, etc. It feels like real wood with a good weight to it… not plastic…. In reading other reviews which were rather critical, it must be pointed out that one does not need to use the matting that comes with it , although it is a nice mat. Also, some complained about it looking “filmy”…there is a film attached to the plexiglass that needs to be peeled away…no big deal.. One note though…there is not an easel back attached for displaying on a table. It is to be hung up…although I am leaning it on a bookshelf. I bought it to display my 7 year old granddaughter’s artwork and since she did it on a 12X12 paper, this frame is perfect.

This is the second frame I have purchased to frame my craft projects. Easy to work with and the frame is very lightweight. I am pleased with the final presentation. I will be ordering more for future projects.
