This was a solid investment.I have the low profile 64 oz Vitamix container that my Vitamix Explorian E310 came with which is perfect for soups, smoothies and sauces but not so much for small quantities so I purchased the 32 oz. container to make non-dairy cheeses, date paste etc. Regular size spatulas help to easily get things at the bottom of the larger container because it has a wide base.The small container is much better suited for the volume of cashews and other ingredients I'm using to make the non-dairy cream cheese but it is nearly impossible to move ingredients around in this container with my existing spatulas I haven't been able to get under the blades to get the blended cashews with any tools that I have. This spatula/scraper solves that problem and the end result is a smoother cheese.I have a basic recipe that I always use which fills two of these recycled cream cheese containers but now that I am able to mix things more thoroughly from underneath the blade's not only did the ingredients come out smoother and more whipped overall but I was actually able to save enough for another small container. I hadn't realized until today just how much I had been wasting all along.I also make date paste and that's another product that I have a bit wasted that gets stuck under the blades. I typically have to rinse it away because I can't get to it at the bottom under the blades but I can already tell from using this today that this will work for that.If you happen to make anything that's sticky or thick you are going to need this scraper, it helps to more easily incorporate things that get stuck under the blades which will give you a smoother end product and less waste.

The scraper is very nice, just too big and will not fit under my blender blades. I will use it for other things.

$500 Vitamix machine, check. And after having a ‘little’ Osterizer for over twenty years, one can’t appreciate why a tool such as this blender scraper is needed until discovering possibilities with a Vitamix. That’s not saying that the Osterizer was a better blender because it’s not. The Vitamix on the other hand, though 10x as expensive, is up to a much greater task, and with that requires better accessories.About the blender scraper... the long handle gives the user reach with plenty to spare in my Vitamix 64 oz, low profile blender jar. The silicone coating is uniform and covers the entire tool to prevent scratching and provide grip. The handle is stiff and the scraper itself has some flexibility which is helpful scraping around the edges of the jar.Also if you care after spending $500 on a Vitamix machine, this blender scraper is priced a bit lower than the same/similar blender scraper sold by Vitamix.

I've had this for over a year and a half and the scraper works very well with the contours of my vitamix. I hate wasting food that I can't reach. This is my solution. Well designed. Well made.

I’ve used it 3 times so far1) after blending a smoothie (fairly thick) the scraper was useful to get a lot of extra of goodness by scraping under the blades and up/down the sides of the container2) made soup - I made sweet potato soup and as above i got all the creamy goodness from the container. I mentioned both because the soup was a hot mixture and the smoothie was cold.3) I “grated” cheese to use on macaroni. This really pulverizes the hard cheese and was done well. After processing the cheese the scraper got all the little bits from under the blades.It worked well with both liquid and solid food and for me is a very useful tool to have with my vitamix.

Oh, I so wanted this to work, but alas... this just was 'okay'.Admittedly, I had been eyeing this gadget for a few months, but I kept stopping myself as I didn't want another gadget taking up room in my drawer. However, I love making smoothies, soups and peanut butters in my Vitamix. What I don't like is not being able to get every little bit out. Realistically, I know that is almost impossible I truly was hoping this would be my answer to at least get more out, but it didn't quite do the trick to my satisfaction.I have only used this once after making some nut butter. Sure, it was able to get under the blades, but it was just awkward trying to actually get everything up from under. Even after minutes of trying (swirling it around, scraping up the undersides of the blades and the sides of the canister) , it just wasn't bringing much up. Now that being said, I believe this would work better with things that perhaps aren't as thick and sticky. I'll give it a try again with some smoothies and soups.The 'scraper' part, although the right size to get under the blades, doesn't allow it to get much. The handle is nice and long (which is a good thing for my full sized Vitamix container). The material is nice and thick. It was easy to clean and honestly does not take up much room in my drawers.Overall, I am not super impressed, but not giving up on this either. Maybe it was user error on my part or my impatience at not being able to get more food out quickly, but I'll give it another few chances to really see.For now, I'm giving this more of a 3 1/2 stars since it did scrape up some bits and did somewhat what it said it would do.

This thing is awesome! I make hummus, tapenade, and salad dressings every week, and now I can get every last bit out of my VitaMix! I used to use a silicone spatula, trying to scrape everything out from under the blades, but it always resulted in a fruitless and frustrating experience. At some point, I would quickly run to the sink and fill the container with water so that I wouldn't have to see the wasted food that was left behind. Using this scraper, the VitaMix container is virtually spotless when I take it to the sink these days!! No more wasted food. . .YAY!!!

This spatula does not have the Vitamix logo on it but looks and feels the same. Very useful!
