A Spell Maker’s Delight!
Osmo products are well thought out and this one comes complete with storage boxes. Our 5 year old grandson is a BIG Harry Potter fan so spell making whilst learning is ideal. The multiplication kit is next on our list of purchases,

Learning made fun
When I got this I was unable to play it but luckily I managed to review another Osmo pack which included the base so make sure you have that before you buy it. So the actually game is a maths based education system. The app is free and it interactes with the objects in front of it. It comes with many manipulatives for maths and it works by placing them on the mat provided. One thing I like about this maths system is you don't need any wifi once it's installed. Most apps need a internet connection constantly but once the app is installed you don't need to. It supports the curriculum grades 1 and 2 which in the uk is key stage 1. There are many American words on the app but it does not prevent the overall ability to play.Playing is fun, my son liked getting Felix the fox through the race. You get food to get him to run faster. It was easy to set up, the on screen intructions guides you all the way. Placing fruit on the mat for instance shows you visually what to do. This then in turn links to number sentences. It kept my son engaged and there is lots to do. He enjoys collecting the gems and progressing through. It does start very easy though and took a while before it go challenging. It does make learning fun. It zaps the battery of my tablet so it may need to be plugged in all the time.If you want some home learning games and you have a child who will engage with something like this then it's a good buy, however you do require a starter pack with the base first and that does cost quite a lot.

Educational and giftable. Great way to learn while playing
Excellent idea and very well designed. We Love this osmo game! This really helped my kids for homeschooling . .i like how easy it was to setup and start using it.work perfect with fire tablet. This was fun for my both daughters. They plays on it everyday for at least half an hour and enjoys doing so... The game has different math skills in a way that is easy for them to grasp, using visuals and manipulatives to represent quantities. They are using it since its arrived and there is enough replayability to keep them interest. I am happy how they both gets better on their math skills it automatically increases the difficulty level. Great way to learn while playing.

You Would Need to Purchase Additional Items to Use this Set:
This is not a complete set, in order to play with this you do need a small list of things. Importantly a compatible iPad (the Fire tablet requires another Osmo set); an Osmo base and a camera reflector which essentially points your ipad camera down to the base so that it can read the Osmo pieces you use and acknowledge them on the Osmo app.If you don't already have an Osmo base, you can purchase one (along with another Osmo gaming set) but bear in mind that it is geared towards reception and year one children. The activities are good, but somewhat limited compared to the deluge of online educational software now available thanks to Covid home learning.Would the cost of this set, and the Osmo base...and possibly an iPad be a good solution to home learning above very good online education programs?Hmmm.......the jury's still out.4 stars

I am sure this is a blinding game.Ideal for a seven/eight year old.I have given it to my niece.I will update this report when she has played with the games.
S**!
Hmm not sure...
Osmo I want to like you but it's quite the opposite, especially for the money. All the dragons look like worms. Its actually quite difficult to get you to measure the dragon right. It's boring. Like painfully boring. The speaking is slow. Too slow. It gets old fast. It's always the same. They never switch it up. It never speaks when it should. You have to put food on the board that's the same length as your dragon but why? They don't count or measure it.If you don't put it on perfectly straight, it won't like it.It should be speaking while you are doing it, but the speaking is so generic and never specific to what your child is doing so how are they supposed to learn?I think this has potential but they have a lot of work to do.Osmo, when you are ready for a change, I will sit down with you and help you fix this so it can be as wonderful as it should be for the ridiculous price.

A bit expensive for the content, osmo base need to purchase separately
This is a math learning wizard targeting kids between age 6-8. It operate on iPad or fire tablet (which is not include and you have to check from the support list of your own device). Another thing you need in order to get it work is an Osmo base which is not included and can purchase separately. Given the price tag is £59.99 at the time of review, I think it is a bit pricy given that you need to separately add on osmo base in order to get it work. Of course if you are a fan of osmo education series and would purchase it’s other series, then the osmo base worth purchasing otherwise I would say you might as well download some educational app to cover the math learning wizard. The learning wizard itself is quite fun to a 6-8 year old kid but the paste is a bit slow. It can speed up a bit in their next design.
