A fun, modern retelling of P&P
Firstly, I have to say that Pride and Prejudice is my most favourite book and love story EVER. So, I'm very protective of anyone playing with it.BUT...OMG, I loved this!!!I fell in love with Darcy all over again. And now, I'm realising where my love for enemies to lovers stories came from. (Jane Austen literally invented the romance tropes. You go girl.)Anywho... Yeah, this is a retelling/play on P&P in modern times. Lizzy Bennett is now Laney Bennett, a social media/advertising manager for a quirky bookstore slash bar (which I wish were a real thing!) And her sisters are all now brothers. (Who feature in their own books by this author.)Fitzwilliam Darcy is now Liam Darcy, the wealthy owner of a company supported by his aunt Catherine and sister Georgiana.Right from the moment Laney and Liam meet, their connection is firey and angsty and oh so steamy. The imagery and language Staci Hart uses to describe their chemistry is pure genius. If it doesn't have your swooning, I don't know what will.As the book goes on, Liam and Laney end up working together and with the help of the infamous Wickham, start to see each other in different lights...This definitely gets the elusive FIVE STARS from me.And I'll definitely be reading more from this author...

A compelling series.
I loved Pride and Prejudice and to read it in a modern day setting was magical. Loved all the books and will recommend them to friends who will love this series as much as I have.

An amazing retelling of Pride and Prejudice! đź’“
WOW!!! I am honestly speechless!! Another amazing book by Staci Hart!! This retelling of Pride and Prejudice was astonishing!! I loved it so much and the portrayal of Darcy was EVERYTHING!! I am always mesmerized by the Staci's writing and her way with words!! I loved how she uses the not so popular words and honestly, I feel like I learn so much more new words lolI loved Laney and Jett and I am glad they got their happy ending. I loved the Bennet's, they are the most hilarious, close-knit family ever!! Makes you want to be part of that family so much! Laney was such a headstrong character and so fiesty. She was never afraid to speak her mind and her feelings. Jett was such a nice guy!! His love and support for his sister - EVERYTHING!The Darcy's were so much different than the Bennet's. They might not have had the best childhood, but Darcy for sure made sure that his sister was okay and his protectiveness were so justifiable. He just didn't want her to hurt anymore. Can this be anymore SWOON?? Him and Georgie were the complete opposites - he was dark and she was light. I would have loved to be Georgie's best friends, she was so sweet and bubbly. Liam - boy he was intense and the amount of times you want to murder him for his actions!!Liam and Laney were so different, yet so similar. Both were so headstrong, that I wanted to go and shake them and yell at them!Honestly, such an amazing read!! I am recommending it with both arms and legs up!! Definitely would want to read it!!P.s. I have been provided with an ARC in return for my honest opinion.

Wonderful Version of a Classic
This book is based on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice which is an absolute classic. Staci has recreated a modern version of this classic book very well. If you have watched or read Pride and Prejudice, then you’ll be able to recognise similar events which correlate to this modern take. The main characters Laney Bennet and Liam Darcy immediately have that brush which causes their characters to be prejudiced against the other character. Laney and Liam’s relationship of will they or won’t they is addictive. The book is an easy and fun read which I much enjoyed.Another thing which was lovely to read, was the interwoven world of Wasted Words characters (Cam, Tyler, Greg, Annie etc.). Although you can totally read this book as a stand-alone, I recommend you invest your time in reading Staci’s other books. I love reading Staci’s books as each book is focused on new characters, but you get the occasional pop-up of a familiar well-loved character.Laney and Liam are two independent and strong characters which clash often, but underneath this arguing and frustration, you can feel the chemistry growing and bubbling within the characters. Whilst this is a take on a classic book, Staci has reinvented Bennet and Darcy to fit into this modern world and creates new loveable versions of the well-known characters. This book has a HEA and such a wonderful epilogue. I promise you won’t be disappointed when you read this book as it has loveable characters, a great story-line and wonderful secondary characters.Thank you to Staci Hart and her team for sending me an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.

My favourite from this series
Oh wow Staci has seriously outdone herself with this one. A brilliant retelling of one of my favoruite classics Pride and Prejudice. She has given us one deliciously beautiful slow burn romance, of enemies to lovers that you will not be able to put down until you have finished!Laney and her brother Jett are the only 2 Bennett's that don't work with the rest of the family in the family business, they work at wasted Words, a bookstore. Laney does all their social media and marketing and has to work with a new company on their new campaign launch for the bookstore. Soon as Laney meets Liam from the PR team, the two of them butt heads, honestly its brilliant to watch play out, the challenge each other well but sharp objects should probably be hidden at the beginning of their partnership. With meddling Aunts it may take them slightly longer to see what is right in front of them and for them to finally light the spark on their seriously hot chemistry. The banter and wit that flies back and forth between them will honestly keep you entertained. Its no secret that I am a huge fan of Staci's brilliant work but I have to say this one was my favourite from this series!
