I thought it would make my soap looks professional, does the same as a potato pillar.

It's well made,solid wooden box with a razor,it's good but I find the razor a bit too close to the surface, ideally I'd like the gap a bit more. Or there could be an option to adjust the gap between the razor and the surface so the customer could use it accordingly.

I bought this product to plane my soap and make a smooth surface but because the wood groove that the blade sits in is higher up than the blade, it makes scratches on the soap. Will be returning.

Wow, I have looked at these for ages before taking the plunge. The hope was that it would make life just that little bit easier. I needed to shave a little off the bottoms of my hand poured candles.This looked just the tool for the job.When it arrived it was well packaged and looked perfect, that was until I tried to open it, I had too bang, bang, bang it too try and open it, eventually with brute force I got the collection tray out, by this time it had been upside down and topsy turvy, good job it wasn't full of wax shavings.Now it won't go back together

Very easy to use , planes soap effortlessly and handy having the draw to catch the scraps
