Eagle Brewing FE650 FermWrap Heater

Great for homebrewing
I was fermenting with Kveik yeast, which requires temps to be in the mid-90s to really rip through the wort, so I knew my heating pad warmers wouldn't do the trick, and my other wrap heater had fallen apart (the connections ripped away from the plastic). I was pleased to see the FermWrap had one substantial connection, but I reinforced it anyway with gaffer's tape. I attached it to my glass carboy, plugged it into my Inkbird temp controller and within 5 hours my wort went from 57 degrees F to 95. My IPA went from 1.066 SG to 1.028 OG in 44 hours thanks to the voracious Kveik, and my beer tastes FANTASTIC!

Can’t believe I haven’t used one of these before!
Extremely thin, and when plugged in it reached 77°. I will be purchasing a temp control to maintain the set temp. Until then, you can adjust how much contact by either wrapping it tight or loose. Electrical tape holds best!

Does the job well.
I used to place all my fermenters in a closed room with a space heater in order to maintain fermentation temps in the colder months (We're in Wisconsin and use a Nest Thermostat so the temps in the house fluctuate greatly and get low often) and this now allows me to maintain the optimal temp for a brew's yeast. I have two so I can have different brews at different temps. Don't forget the temp regulator (I use the Hydrofarm one and it works fine).

Nice.
I use this wrap to make mead. I use a 5 gallon carboy, the ferm wrap and a Hydrofarm MTPRTC Digital Thermostat for Heat Mats to control the temp. I put it in my basement which has a normal temp of about 55F. It raises the temp and keeps it right about 70F. Nice.

Keep your yeast happy
Perfect for a little gentle heat for my 5 gallon batches of brew while they're fermenting. I paired this up with an Inkbird temp. controller and my dedicated fridge and I have super accurate temperature control of my fermentation which I think is absolutely critical.

Controls wort temperature
A little flimsy, but is effectively controls the wort temperature. Used this with an Inkbird Itc-308 Digital temperature controller. Was less expensive than similar heaters on online home brew sites.

but it worked beautifully. Good value if you already have a temperature ...
Works well. Taped to the back of my converted chest freezer wall and hooked up to my temperature controller. Only tried pushing to 80 degree range for a recent saison, but it worked beautifully. Good value if you already have a temperature controller and insulated space.

Product Failed. Batch Lost
This product failed after less than 20 hours of use. The heating elements stopped generating heat, and my poor ale yeast suffered in sub 55 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. The fermentation stalled, and I wasn't able to get it started again. As a result, not only am I out the cost of this product, but I'm out the $75+ cost of the ingredients for the batch.I wish I could offer some constructive criticism, but what else is there to say other than the product failed to do the only thing it was supposed to do. Literally, the only thing. I guess it has a pleasant metallic sheen -slow clap-. Great stuff, guys; *great stuff*.
