I ordered this for my father who is having difficulty reading even with glasses as he gets older. He had found it very useful with ample magnification. The stand for working at his desk or the cord for wearing it around his neck if he wants to read in his chair provide him with good options. It is an inexpensive solution that addresses a real need. I definitely recommend trying this product before you jump into some of the more expensive.

Not too bad for the price Expected a bit more than the plastic lens. The legs a bit flimsy, but my wife (it's for her) doesn't use the legs anyhow. I want to try it, at some point, on one of my craft jobs where I need hands-free...the detail part... and then I can be more complimentary or not. My wife seems to like it.

Would have given a 5, but I didn't pay attention to the length of the folding feet. Not enough room to set it on the table and adult color with coloref pencils and ballpoint/gel pens. Not having much luck hanging it on my chest to color.

I am very glad I found this magnifier. I took up jewelry-making last month, the same month I had double cataract surgeries (I know, not smart), and I bought the hands-free magnifier to work more easily with the tiniest beads. I found that after some experimenting with backgrounds (white worked best) and positions (standing worked best) that the magnifier did help. It was not quite the miracle I'd hoped for, but definitely worth the small investment.

Only the center portion of book is readable Looking at other parts of the "screen" I can see all the lines that make it magnify the page. Also, the legs are not the right length to set it on the table and set a book or paper under it. Maybe the distance needed varies a little from person to person; I don't know. I would not use it unless I had a lot of reading I needed to do in one sitting; It just isn't worth the time and hassle to get it out.

I did not use it long enough to say it is cheesy.But it is definitely light weight. No LED lights. I returned it.On the plus side, it is compact and portable if that is what you are looking for.

This is simply DREADFUL.I could tell as soon as I removed it from the box,as the distortion of the magnifier is visible. Nevertheless.I attempted to use it in both modes.It can not be used "handsfree" when hung from my neck,as it does not have a "Chest Support"as other similar products have. I would have to hold it with my hands,which would defeat the purpose of a hands free magnifier. The cords is extremely thin,and appears as if it would break easily.Above all, this device does NOT provide clear magnification. There is tremendous distortion.It's awful.All the reviews prior to mine were 5 star reviews.I had wondered about this,as this was not the case with similar products,but ordered this,despite reservations,hoping this was a better product. I would not recommend this to anyone.

For the purpose in which I use it for, it's ok. However, for reading I think it will be fine. I use it, to weed small material for my printing company.
