This is a very easy part to replace if you have broken your hinged cover on your Progressive EMS

Item worked as planned as a new cover. The parts included work for several different model configurations. I feel like I accomplished what I wanted too, but there is to much waste with the extra parts for various models.

Replacement for original cover. Easy off and easy on

Part is fine. Fits well. Only needed the hinge which used to be available for free from Progressive. Because the hinge is not available as a separate item, this was more expensive than necessary. The surge protector/electrical management system works great but the hinge tends to break where it attaches to the main item and should be made of more durable material.

Easy replacement, wish you could just purchase the hinge, which many have noted, tends to fail.

The hinge for my 50 amp unit was shot, and this kit fixed it.My problem was a rusted screw attaching the original hinge. Before I was done, I had sawed the screw, drilled it out of the housing, filled the hole with hopefully-waterproof goo, and used a fatter screw. I hope you have an easier time with the change-out.

On the one I replaced it had broken off of the two screws attaching it to the body of the surge suppressor because the clear plastic lid binds in the black hinge piece causing stress on the piece and ultimate failure. The replacement comes separated allowing "trimming" to eliminate the problem. This seems to be a part shared with 30 and 50 amp suppressors. There is a problem with the 50 amp version in that those units tend to have a larger plug and larger cable so when inserted into the unit the clear plastic cover does not close all the way. For the price, they should make this deeper to accommodate the larger handles found on many electrical umbilicals.

great replacement choice for the old broken hinge that did not completely close over the plug. Now the plug cover completely closes over the plug. Great buy.
