Now that the l'il tyke has added a few more pounds, so too has his incredible strength. As he is our 5th rottie (4 from the cradle), it is more than critical that under any circumstance, complete control is in your hands. Having tried numerous alternatives -chain, body, halti...you name it, I have it hanging in my closet. Believe it or not this is the ONLY one that offers high up along the neck fingertip control.

Fit perfectly because I measured my dogs neck 4 times to make sure I got the right length.The collar needs to have 2 inches of extra slack, and no more!Ignore the bad reviews where people obviously didn't measure their dogs neck properly.The quality is great with no loose threads.If you need a choke collar for training, this one is perfect.I bought a second one two months later because he grew out of the size I bought.Both are flawless.

I use this in conjunction with a prong collar. It's a nice little "security" measure if the prong would happen to separate while out and about.

This works as expected. I had to attend a workshop with my 200-lb Great Dane and a dominant collar was required for any dogs that had showed aggression with other dogs. I used this as a fail safe, but most control was handled with the ecollar. Product is well made. The only complaint is how difficult it is to put on when you have the right fit.

I purchased 2 - this one and one from a different seller (similar price). Both are 18 inches but this collar is stiff (thicker somehow) and thus less flexible and too tight, though both are same length. I will try stretching it out a bit if I ever need it. The other one fits perfectly. A few websites that offer this product suggest getting a collar that is 2inches smaller than your dog's neck (which is why I got the 18 - my dog's neck measures 20''), but in the case of this product I recommend going down by 1 inch or not at all.

Definitely works if you know how to use it. Like any training tool, it's not a magic cure. I am using this to help cap my dog's drive as well as her leaking (bark/whines). Great for working dogs.

I use this on my GSD in a couple different configurations. First, as a backup collar to his pinch collar. Second, as a link between his SAR collar, his SAR vest, and his lead. This actually worked once when he shook vigorously and the lead, somehow, came unhooked from the collar. The dominant collar remained connected and attached to vests D-Ring and to the lead.

It works really well and I feel safe taking my "not so friendly" dog in public because I am 100% sure she will not get loose. Sturdy yet comfortable for her.

Wow this really makes a difference. I wasn’t thrillled having to use “a choke collar” but my dog was an aggressive,unpredictable lunger. He is too strong for me to control so I needed a trading aid that would help us get through a walk without terrifying my neighbours and their pups.I walked with choke collar on a loose leash and it was only when my dog chose lunge towards a dog that he felt the choking effects of the leash. when he tried to throw himself at someone the leash would tighten up and I really didn’t anything but the hardware do it’s job.After three attempts to lunge my dog conceded that it wasn’t worth the discomfort.So now I purchased a slightly bigger choke to use just as a backup. I feel much safer and in control walking my dog now. I’m sure people could misuse this collar and it would be cruel if they yanked the dog around. But if done right, it’s a very effective trading tool..

Ordered the collar according to the measurement directions, but had to return it, as it was too small. The sizing instructions perhaps should instruct that the clip is included in the measurement. There were no issues when we returned the item. Reordered the next size up. Would recommend this product, and the company purchased from (Dog Sport Gear Canada). Great customer service.

Stretched to much so hard to correct and let go
