Baby Loves It!
This fish has saved my hand more than once with my baby that’s been a stage 5 clinger! I plop him in his swing and tick the fish in his blanket, he’s sleeping in 2 min! It’s very comical and gives a good laugh as well, my dog thought it was a new toy and was devastated when we said no when he wanted to play “destroy” it!

Great gift
I ordered this as a baby shower gift and it was easy to send super cute and works.Amazing.Second hand report of course, but as long as my gift was valued it's not noisy at all and last for a amount of time.

Not worth it
My son was so excited about this toy. It was an early Christmas gift. He's autistic and loves fish fight now. I charged it up before wrapping it and it worked. Once he unwrapped it, he turned it on and he giggled so much at the flopping fish. The battery died really fast. We went to charge it and it lit up red to charge and then it wouldn't turn on again. So frustrating. This is entirely to expensive for a product that doesn't last but for one charge. Do not recommend.

Useful for PAIN MANAGEMENT (percussive massage) & NEUROQUIETING -- if you can get one that works
UPDATED 10/18/2025 -- 3/5 stars Please keep in mind that I’m using this fish toy for an off-purpose use — as a percussive device and not as a toy, but toy users may want to pay attention still. I purchased my 1st fish on 7/3120/25. Loved it. See review below. But the 2nd fish I purchased on 10/7/25 came and did not function with the same intensity. The motor seems weaker. Please see new video the difference. I purchased a 3rd fish (not depicted) to see if it was an anomaly and it wasn’t — the 2nd and 3rd fish both have weaker motors than the first. I believe this may be a batch error in manufacturing. I notice that the listing now indicates it as a “frequently returned item” and wonder if this may be why. I have requested a replacement citing the motor weakness and will have to decide whether to keep this weaker one, see if the company will remedy or see if there is another solution. Feeling disappointed. ORIGINAL REVIEW Aug 2025 -- 4/5 stars Intractable Pain and Chemically Sensitive Patient here with MS, horrid muscle spasticity, sound sensitivity and insomnia. My PCA turns on this flapping fish which acts as a "percussive massager" and places it between a pillow and my back so it flaps against my vertebrae. Very effective. I aim to secure another because I've ALSO been applying it to my back to sleep at night. Very soothing. I have insomnia too and the rechargeable battery is dead by morning. So the goals is to have one charging while one is operational/in use. The mechanical plushy fish arrives with a fragrant chemical odor that dissipates when hung outside for 48 hours. The mechanical device with tail lever inside this fish that makes the fish move comes out easily from a zippered pouch so the outer fabric can be laundered. I have not laundered it yet, so can't speak to how either machine or hand laundering impacts the fabric. The feel of the fabric is velvety-smooth and has a feel like it resists water. I deliberately poured some water on it to see what would happen and it first beaded and then absorbed. When I wiped it with a towel and the towel absorbed what I poured. It was dry again in a couple minutes, just a little cool to the touch. If you dropped this in a puddle of water or even submerged it -- but you removed it right away and let it dry out, I bet the whole thing would be okay. The zipper on this fish is TINY so if you have pinching grip issues like I do, you may wish to get a pair of small, rubber tipped pliers to assist you -- or simply leave open the zipper like I do. The inner mechanics stay in place whether or not the belly is zipped or not if you are careful to reinsert properly. The switch inside for turning on-off is also TINY. Helps to have a long thumb or index fingernail to operate the switch. I wish it had a way to choose the rhythm. I'd choose a consistent movement pattern. It has a predictable set of rhythmic motions -- 2 different rhythms that alternate -- meant to be more random and interesting as a cat toy. I posted a question to see if the rhythm could be adjusted somehow. Instead of posting my question for community input, the seller responded: On Aug 25, 2025 8:08 PM, I wrote: Is there a way to make this fish have a consistent rhythm? On Aug 27, 2025 2:11 AM, Seller wrote: Dear friend, Sorry, this rhythm was set by the chip from the beginning and cannot be changed. Any questions, please feel free to contact us and we will write back to you ASAP. Many thanks. Best Regards, Niu The mechanism is made of plastic and yields to pressure, but I would take a certain amount of care with this and not be too hard on it. For example, I think it would probably be ok if I accidentally rolled over on it in bed because the mattress has some give, but I wouldn't grip the head and tail and force it and expect it not to break the mechanism. I doubt a cat, infant or toddler would be able to irreparably damage it during the course of typical play unless play became too forceful. Giving it to a medium to large, exceptionally playful dog who likes to "tug" might damage the toy. Notice that there is a partial cycle* of (i think) 40 flaps (or 10 cycles with of 4:4 time) -- and then 10 of the other with a rest in it) -- and then the whole cycle repeats itself. It is NOISY and a higher pitched grinding-whirring sound, but that doesn't bother me with the use of earplugs (3M Neon Blasts). Without earplugs becomes annoying very quickly. *If you are also a musician and can correct me on this in the comments, I would appreciate it. (I have executive functioning difficulties bad enough now that its a struggle to perceive the time well enough to report out accurately about it.) I gave 4 stars because I would like more control over the movement and rhythm -- but I still value what it is and does for what it is and does. Having been a former cat guardian and caregiver of babies/young children, this looks like something my those under my care would have really enjoyed as an interactive and stimulating toy. I named my fish "Walter" and will name the next one Katherine Hepburn.

Baby must have!
This is a must have for a baby who needs constant touch. Gives them the sense they are being patted but you aren’t holding them or patting them. We would turn this on and he would sooth right away.

Es de muy mala calidad para el costo que tiene, honestamente esperaba algo mejor porque cuando se prende en poco tiempo huele a quemado y al pensar que es oara mi bebé, corre mucho peligro.
