My pastor recommended this great book. Written by a 16th century Puritan pastor. Great read! Timely and relevant.

Doe those truly wanting to pursue godliness, this is a must read. It's not as tedious as most Puritan writings, but is straight, to the point and thought provoking.Reading this book was a great help in my spiritual growth.

Print is small but for the price a good copy.

Thomas Watson explains our Christian walk with personal touch. He writes so clearly, and is very though and covers this topic front to back. If your serious about your walk with Christ, this is a must read for you.

This book was purchased to be used as part of a "book club." It is not easy reading. Well, it is written in a different style than we are used to with modern writing. However, reading it slowly and contemplatively, it is very profitable for the serious Christian reader.

The best book explaining Christianity I have ever read!

A little older writing style, but definitely a comprehensive look at what God wants of us, as Christians . If you are interested in what it means to be a Christian , this would be a good read , as well. It sets the bar high and shoes us the challenge of walking with God . The consistent reminder that Watson makes of how important godliness is proves helpful . He explains it clearly.

I'm currently meeting with seven young men at my church using Watson's book. Godliness is a forgotten virtue.
