It's a dud. Inexpensive = Yes - Does it work = Not for me
I bought this antenna to attach to my Orbi LBR20 to help my signal at the family cabin site. The site is about 5 miles from my providers, AT&T, nearest tower (with a couple others in the area up to 10 miles away). Prior to using the antenna, my Orbi would get around 3 out of 5 bars of signal but the data speeds were very very slow. My hope with the antenna was bring in a little more signal and help boost the data speeds. After attaching the antenna, I did not see any notable difference in speed or signal. I positioned the antenna in multiple spots and angles to find something that would work, but never could get anything better than what I already had. I do believe that you get what you pay for and this product was no exception. I was gambling that maybe this low cost solution would work out but in the end it didn't. I am now looking into the more expensive and reputable brands of antennas. As for the product itself. The antenna seems like a cheap plastic box, very light weight. I have other antennas that feel far more solid than this one. The included suction cup did have some sticking power to it. I had it attached to the outside window and it took a bit to pry it off. The cables seemed pretty solid and well built but nothing fancy about them. So, moral of the story here is that if you want to roll the dice and give this a shot for your scenario, feel free. There are a couple of reviews that indicate some people have had some victory with it. But I would encourage you to not get your hopes up. Purchase this knowing that it is likely not to work as intended.

Increases reception quality and speed
I did several tests on a GL.iNET GL-X750 with the stock antennas and this antenna, this one improved signal quality by about 5% and speed by on average 10%. The biggest advantage of this product is that it allows you to put the antenna up high and in a window. All my tests were with the GL-X750 in a window for accurate comparison, but the real value of this antenna became clear when I moved the router to a stand in my office. The stock antennas could not pick up the signal as well as this antenna which is placed in a window facing the nearest tower. I used this with a Verizon compatible SIM. I am in a rural area and about two miles away from the nearest tower with no line of sight (trees in the way). I would recommend this to a friend and buy again if needed.

Works well with a Netgear Orbi 4G
I use this with a Netgear Orbi 4G (LBR20). The signal strength improved significantly with the antennas attached. External antenna allows the modem to be placed in a more ascetically pleasing location and/or place the antennas in a location with better reception.

High-gain antenna saves the day!
I used this antenna to complete my Rock64 4G-LTE hotspot router. My home has a metal roof that extends to cover my porch, and it acts like a faraday cage for cellphones, but with this antenna on the front window I get a great connection... much better than when I was using my iPhone as a hotspot sitting in the same window.

Provided worse reception than my native GSM modem
The review says it all, I get worse reception with this than I do without. I'm guessing the antenna within the case is quite small. Put in the exact same location & orientation my ATT GSM modem/router combo unit gets better reception by itself. I'd say don't waste the money unless you have a modem without or with a very small antenna.
