Better Than Nothing - Wish Threads Were More Secure...
With a little more attention to quality, this could've been a great product. It's similar to the older ones they once made; but, this version is much cheaper! Unfortunately, the plastic connector with it's threads just barely secures to the faucet. If you try and bend it a little to get a wider spray, it falls off immediately! Also, the little lever that changes it from stream to spray is hard to move and you have to fiddle with it to get the spray all the way one way or another. This is difficult for very elderly people who don't have alot of strength left in their fingers. My elderly mom can do it; but, I notice when I'm there, it often is a little in between the choices. so, it's not really a stream and not really a spray. It doesn't take much for it to fall off. So, you have to treat it with kid gloves. All the same, I bought an extra one for mom since it's the only game in town for us.

SO GLAD I READ THE REVIEWS---REPAIRED IT TO WORK LIKE MY OLD ONE---GREAT ADVICE
It seems to be true, they aren't made as well as before. Thanks to D. Bergin for the detailed repair advice. This is exactly what I needed to do. I'd almost thrown away my old one that had sprung a leak. My new faucet queen popped off when I turned the water on. The rubber part completely separated from the screw on part and fell in the sink. I unscrewed the part that was still attached to my faucet and saw the thread have little dents. That means it's defective and that prevents it from staying on. Not only that, but if you tighten it too much it just falls off, never really grabbing onto the faucet. So, after reading what D. Bergin did, I fished my old one out of the trash and removed the old torn rubber part and stuffed the new rubber faucet part into the old screw on part and it installed securely. Thank goodness I was able to do this! I will be careful with it, but at least I have the faucet sprayer style that has been my favorite for many years. I sure wish things were made like they used to. I am just glad to be able to find this faucet queen at all, no store has them anymore.

OK, still the best -- not as good. I HAD TO REPAIR IT FROM PARTS FROM THE OLD ONE.
UPDATE on Aug 19, 2021 - failed after 5 years, buying same product again. The edge of the rubber that holds the large plate failed, causing a stream of water to shoot out sideways. If they made this with SILICONE RUBBER it would last forever, but this cracks and deteriorates in 5 years. β 2016 -- It helps if you're handy. As I suspect is true with many buyers, I bought this to replace exactly the same product, simply because rubber has a limitied lifetime, and will crack and break up after so many years --- I actually keep records, and bought it 4.5 years ago in the local supermarket. The old one is stamped "Taiwan", and this one is stamped "China". It's definitely the same design in every detail, but made differently, so the quality is a little less in some ways. The biggest problem is that the lever switching back and forth from spray to stream was a little too hard to work --- required too much force. Off the faucet, everything comes apart rather easily with your bare hands. I SIMPLY ONLY REPLACED THE RUBBER PART FROM THE NEW ONE, AND MAYBE ONE OF THE RUBBER WASHERS FROM THE NEW ONE --- the metal mechanism that I'm using is from the old one. Problem solved, but only with me re-using key old parts that are at the heart of it, instead of using the lower-quality made-in-China new ones just received. Speficially I saved and re-used the metal spray scree with the stream hole and switch lever.

Works fairly well
For decades I bought these for my kitchen sink faucet. I bought them from other companies. They always worked very well, with the little metal control easily sliding back and forth to choose a solid stream of water or a spray. However, this particular model has two issues: 1) I have to use two hands to force the metal control back and forth, whereas in the past, similar units required only a touch of the thumb to change the spray. 2) near the metal controller, the spray sprays way out to the side, instead of straight down into the sink like all the rest of the spray does.It works, but is a pain to use.

After some tweaking, works as expected
I purchased this to use on the faucet in my laundry room tub. I am constantly cleaning things in there and was tired of using my hands to swish out the debris left. We had one of these when I was growing up, so I was accustomed to how it worked and decided I wanted one for this purpose. One of the first things I had to do was take out at least one of the screens. It came with like three of them and even with good water pressure, I didn't like how much pressure I was losing with this sprayer. After I played around with it, with different numbers of screens, I finally got it to work like I wanted. I think I ended up with two, but can't remember for sure since I messed with it it for so long. Occasionally, I find I have to make sure the lever on the side that switches between flow and spray is pushed all the way over to the spray position, or the spray is kind of erratic. I'm not sure what causes this to happen, but it's a simple enough fix and makes the spray pattern "pretty" again.

Did What I Wanted
I used these for many years decades ago and loved them. I was thrilled to find them online though unsure how it would turn out since there were many reviews bemoaning the decrease in the quality of the product. However, for the short time I used it (2 months), it worked fine. I was very careful not to stress it a lot by bending it as the thread connector is plastic but I was pleased with the function of it in all other ways. There was a little spurt of water beginning to come out on one side and I do not know how long it would have lasted if we continued to use it. We installed a new sink and faucet so I am no longer using it.
