PRO TIP: Lube up the filter for a good time!
TLDR: Lube the rubber collar of the replacement filter before installation.I bought this replacement filter for my 6 gallon shop vac (Ridgid WD06250). The collar of the replacement filter is a VERY tight fit and I almost crushed the filter while trying to push it into a locked position on the shop vac.PRO TIP: To ensure easy installation, rub a small amount of liquid soap on the inside lip of the filter and the mounting point on shop vac. Then gently position and wiggle the filter side-to-side until it securely slides into place.

Great! With some simple adjustment
Was very difficult to install at first. Multiple efforts caused misshaping of filter elements. Rigid model WD12701 Wet Dry Vac. Before giving up I decided to stretch the open end of the filter. Worked perfectly and then installed easily with some rotation of element

Saved me money
Perfect fit for my old shop vac. My model is old so the model number doesn’t match but with a small adjustment this fits and saved me from buying a new shop vac. Seems more durable than my original filter
