fun, but a little messy and the cars are not very well made
The cars are flimsy....but light in weight. The course is pretty short and I am not aware of anything out there to add to this kit to make it longer of funner. The boys loved the way that you mix the fuel and load it in. They love that you can ad obstacles and that the cars take off really quick and fast. But the fuel is messy as you might guess, and the track is short and limited. The cars re light in weight by necessity, but are cheaply made and will not last very long. Wish you could use H)&)_**l track on this.

Keep in mind you will need to buy other things to make this product ‘playable’!
This isn’t a typical game. More like numerous scientific experiments on the same thing, several times over. Trying to propel your car to the finish line first, and barrel through the terrain along the way, which my kids were not aware of when they first saw the box.Keep this in mind: We did have to go out and buy some extra items for this ‘game/ experiment’ to go down. Diet Coke, mentos, vinegar and alka-seltzer. (We had baking soda at home.) So, it did cost us. If you don’t have these at home, they will be needed to fully utilize this product. That is necessary + the cost of the item.My kids were very disappointed in having to wait for those items after putting the track and everything together, all on their own. I wish I had gotten to the instructions before they got to the box, but you know how kids are. That being said, it was interesting, but it didn’t last very long. After they did the few different experiments with me on this game, it instantly was set aside, and they went back to their cell phones, so options here are limited. It’s cool for a short while, but not after the ingredients are used up and done, unless you are a science geek and can figure out some explosive ingredients to try on your own. A true science lover may thoroughly enjoy this for long periods of time, but for us.. it was just OK. I don’t see my kids using it again in the future. For the price, plus the ingredients, it is not something that I would order again. Maybe, like I said, older kids and even adults into scientific experiments, might find a way to expand this into more than we could or desired to over here, but for us more average folks, it wasn’t very interesting for very long, although my twins did like to compete against one another.. while it lasted. It was just OK to us. I find it a bit pricey, to be honest.I’ll give it 3 stars. It is quality made, it is interesting, but it’s not what we expected. Maybe for others it would be, so I’m being a bit lenient with my 3rd star, due to that.My kids aren’t huge into these things, but also, they are still young (10). Just know what you are buying before your purchase. If it fits the bill for your child or your family, then go for it!I hope you find this review helpful.

Fun, Really Awesome Concept - Great For Your Little One!
This Rocket Racers Toy is such a cool way to combine science and toy race cars! First off there are a lot of pieces to this so just be aware - a lot of them are tire parts which aren't that big. That's not a negative by any means, it's just something worth noting. All the pieces are made from plastic and the cars themselves are made from a rubberized plastic. All of which feel well made and not cheap. The instructions are well written and easy to follow helping to make setup pretty easy - but still makes you think though, too. The mist ("smoke") these give off when launching is a pretty neat concept and to be honest, I haven't seen it with any other racer toy before. It's a system that does work and it works well. All in all, this would be a great gift for any little one that is into toy race cars - it's definitely unique and just plain cool!

Cool set!
My 11 year old son enjoyed playing with this set. It was easy for him to set up and play with. It is a good value for the price.

Not as easy as directions seem...
It is great idea and the kids loved it, but it doesn't work as smoothly as indicated and makes a huge mess.
