I thought the interior was leather. Itโs felt I think. Still a very nice set.
I like playing on big sets. I just enjoy them. They are impressive and so make a nice gift. Backgammon is fun and full of strategy and this set is fun and easy to play on.

The outside scuffs way too easily. The accumulated effect will lead to disappointment.
The construction was good. The pieces are great! You have to know to hold the pieces in when you close the board or they block you from closing the board. The outside of the board scuffs up way too easily. The imitation leather is very cheap quality, which means that in a short time it will look terrible. At this price , that shouldn't be. Would I buy this board knowing what I know...no. Is it a horrible product...not really. Will the board look good in the long term (even intermediate time. 5 years)...not a chance!
