The bag is the perfect size - it's compact and feels small when I want it to, but has room and expands out a little too. My favorite things are (1) the myriad pockets all over the place, (2) that you can open the bag from the top when you like, or from the side by sliding it across your body while it's still strapped on. Also, great price. Thumbs-up.

I returned it - Poor quality
I purchased this because I have the Maxpedition version that I LOVE. It is my EDC, and yes, it is an option for off-body concealed carry (I prefer on-body). As others mentioned, this one really isn't. I wanted another as a go-bag for my QRP HF radio. All things fit perfectly as expected and after I spent a few hours setting up the radio, batteries, etc., the zippers start to fail. I've had other $35 bags in the past and fared well. I knew I could not expect Maxpedition quality but two days of light use is all the zippers lasted. The sling is a bit flimsy (OK, now I'm comparing with Maxpedition) and I don't think it will hold to any kind of repeated use.

Been a year
It's been a year now since I bought and used this pack only on the weekends. Small zippers gave out so can't use pouches. 2 large zippers seem ok so far.

Very,very impressed.
Great pack. It's very well made and all the compartments have pockets or elastic for organizing. It's a little bit larger than others of its kind and was $10 less. I will be getting at least 2 more. I'm very impressed with this pack. I'm a very big guy and it fits me. I couldn't be more pleased.

Backpack review
This is a nice backpack that would be great for everyday use for somebody like a student.Unfortunately i must have been a little to hard on it and broke a couple of the plastic zippers off. Also the concealed carry pouch is a wonderful idea and does secure a variety of firearms securly but they are just loose inside the compartment unless you have a holster with velcro backing on it.

Not for CCW....
It's not a bad bag - lots of pockets and straps - fairly well made - nicely sized. But.... It's not for CCW - the pocket is not engineered - just a big, sideways coat pocket. Needs some Velcro, or at least strong elastic, for adding a nylon holster or something. It's so big a 1911 would rattle around, leaving you searching for it.... Also, the single strap seems like a good idea - we all carry our two-strap bags by one - but.... It's attached to the opposite bottom corner of the bag. If you sling it onto your left shoulder, the mass of the bag is outside the strap and pulls it off your shoulder, rather than into it as the mass of a two-strap bag does. The only way to carry the bag is to wear it. Okay for a day hike, but bothersome for a walk across the parking lot....

Two Stars
This bag forces you to draw left handed. Not for concealed carry for most who shoot right handed.
