Works great and now my old 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee homelink buttons can trigger our new garage door openers

Pretty straightforward. New garage opener units are not compatible with older model cars with HomeLink. Pretty much if your car is year 2013 or older. You’ll need this bridge / repeater unit to to act as the signal to open it. Your HomeLink in your car is programmed to the code of the bridge, and it will send signal to opener. Definitely plug this and move antenna as close to garage opener as possible. Also, if your garage opener has battery backup in case of power outage, the bridge won’t work, since no power. You’ll have to use the remote of the garage itself, or manually open garage.

easy to install and setup. Far better than having to leave a garage door opener in my car that would allow access to my house by someone breaking into the car. I don't often park my car outside but when I do I don't like the idea of potentially giving someone access to the inside of my garage. My neighbor had their car outside and someone broke into it and stole a lot of expensive items.

If you’re using the old style Homelink, this will work with the old openers before Liftmaster change the codes in 2022. Please know if your homework device is not working on any car older than 2008 you need to buy the Homelink that has the MC after the Homelink.

This came from a 3rd party, so I. don't know if it was returned before - it only worked once, then you'd have to reset it. then it would only work once, etc. I finally gave up, and it was too late to return.

Read the instructions! Just installed new door openers. Home link system in the older truck and cars would not work. Frustrating, I know. This solved the problem. Everything now works again.
