90 day tests are significantly more accurate then the 2 or 7 day tests. For this test you can also go past 90 days in case you get busy and need a few extra days to get the test in the mail. All you have to do is mark the start date, and the end date, of the test and the lab does the rest.Test results took a few weeks to come back, which is fine.

Accurate test. Kept this up four months for measuring radon in my basement. Received results after about 3 weeks of mailing back the device in the enclosed mailer. Took forever to reach them. Suggest mailing back either First Class with a tracker or Priority Mail AND not in the enclosed mailing envelope. Was slower than media mail.

So I got this through Vine and they require you to review things within 30 days, but this is a 90 day test, so.... I can tell you, the test is well sealed, directions are straight forward, and the web portal is good. The test itself is small and you just put it in one place at least 20" off the ground and not near windows. I set mine in a shelf on the closet. Will send it in after 90 days and report back.

This test kit is intended to test your home for radon gas. The kit itself is easy to use and setup and it included instructions as well as a prepaid mailer to send it back for the results. Since it requires at least 90 days to test to determine if there is radon, I dont know if its accurate or works until the time elapses and I send it back. I will update when that happens

This radon detector, which uses alpha track technology and must stay in situ for 90 to 365 days, is supposed to provide a more accurate reading than commonly used 2-to-4-day detectors. Also, while the short-term (2-to-4-day) detectors require shutting up the house for the duration of the test, this alpha track detector allows you to maintain your normal lifestyle for the duration.This product arrives in a box containing a plastic-encapsulated detector, a postage-paid return mailer, and a simple, easy-to-follow instruction sheet. The photo accompanying this review shows the detector deployed in our basement. The deployment requirements are at least 20 inches above the floor, at least 3 feet from windows or exterior doors, and at least 4 inches from objects or outside walls. Regarding that last requirement, I suspended the detector 5 inches below the beam to which it is attached.Nitpicking, I note that the Amazon details page for this product shows a photo of the detector tied to, and in contact with, the wooden post of a bookshelf. That would seem to be a violation of the 4-inch requirement.I had no problem registering my detector's deployment on the manufacturer's website. When I complete the test in late 2022 or sometime in 2023, I'll enter the end date on the manufacturer's website and mail the detector to the manufacturer in the prepaid mailer. Then I'll await the results. I'll update this review if any of that does not go smoothly.I have one last comment on the prepaid mailer that is provided with this product. It seems to be prepaid for simple first-class mail service, which is fine. However, the instruction sheet recommends sending the detector back with a tracking service, which is a significant extra cost that will have to be borne by the customer. My personal experience with the tracking service offered by the USPS is that it is both expensive and worthless. A few months ago, I sent an important document with USPS tracking and the U.S. Post Office lost track of it! Luckily, the recipient did receive the document. However, to this day the USPS says that the letter is still "Pending Delivery" and has not been delivered! When I recently had to send another important document, I just sent it by simple first-class mail and thereby saved all that extra cost. That worked fine.

This is a home radon detector kit. The way it works is you open the pouch that the sensor comes in - it’s about the size of an earbud case - which “activates” the sensor. Then you put it in an out-of-the-way place in the lowest part of your house that use you still use frequently, like a basement you go into several times a week. You then leave the sensor there for at least 90 days (but no more than a year). Then you retrieve the sensor, put it in the provided envelope (which is postpaid), and send it off. You need to activate an account on the company’s website, and 5-10 days after the testing site receives the sensor, you can look your results up on-line.Radon is a naturally-occurring gas that originates in the ground that houses are built on and it can cause serious health problems. This detection kit won’t fix a radon problem, but it will tell you if you have one. Especially if you have kids or family members with health vulnerabilities, this can be a really important precaution. This isn’t a sexy product category, but for those who really want to secure their homes against potential environmental toxins, it provides welcome peace of mind.
