Doug Unplugged

One of me and my daughter’s favorite books she has ever read. We love Dan’s message and it aligns beautifully with our family’s approach and lifestyle- to get out when at all possible! Life is an adventure and many things need to be seen and experienced, not purely learned by plugging in and downloading.The illustrations are clean and appealing to the eye. We loved everything about the book, visually and message-wise.

Such a great book about the value of experiential education. We received this book as a gift when our child was 3, and now like to give it as a gift for friends. Great for ages 3-adult

Doug Unplugged is adorable. It is such a sweet, gentle, loving story that you can't help but say "awwww" when reaching the end of it. Yes, it does end with a hard-to-miss moral, facts vs. experience, but the conclusion is endearing rather than annoying. And it's about a robot. Little boys really like robots.Dan Yaccarino's artwork is always exceptional: Engaging, colorful, timeless and adorable. Just like the story of Doug Unplugged.

My almost 2 year old twins chant, "Doug Unplugged" and drag this out of the book pile when I tell them to pick a book for me to read. It's cute.I skim over all the city facts ... I usually read 2 or 3 of them before moving onto the rest of the book, but the kids love it, and that's what matters to me.

My 3 year old and I love this book an dc have bought as a present for several friend's. It's a lovely story and I like the retro illustrations.

Funny story about a robot child who learns better from the real world than the system he is normally "plugged" into. It's especially cool for kids who have been or are going to visit Manhattan.

We have read this book a million times and still love it. A very sweet story about a robot who unplugs and explores like a real kid. We need to collect more Dan Yaccarino books, they are treasures!
