Very fresh and tasty
If you know what umami is; this is a great choice to achieve wonderful results. I smoked a 6# Wagyu brisket on my pellet grill yesterday for todays Christmas dinner. ALL I ever put on one is kosher salt & fresh ground Tillacherry pepper. I added about 2 tbs. of this Sumac and rubbed it on the salt and pepper. It made an amazing difference. I use umami ingredients in most everything I cook with meat, any meat. Anchovies, Soy Sauce, Worchester, Sumac, Cumin all are a few of many umami blasters.

I wanted to like this
Nothing wrong with the product, I was just unable to use it in a way to make me "need it" as a stand alone ingredient and not part of a purchased spice mix.

Unusual but good
I have been using this spice in soups and seasoning on meats, chicken and fish.

Lovely, unique flavor profile
Introduced to this spice via the SortedFood channel, and it's become a kitchen staple. It adds such a unique flavor and makes some amazing salad dressing.

Very little flavor.
I am very disappointed in this Sumac. I have some in the cupboard and it is much more flavorful. Had High hopes, but I suggest you not waste your money.

Not for me
This seasoning is just not for me. It mostly tasted like acidity and salt with a dash of old wood flavor thrown in for good measure. I don’t care much for acidity or salt, and I guess I’m not big on eating old wood either if this is any indication. I wanted to like it, tried it on a couple different things, just couldn’t get behind it.
