Teaching Kids to Spell For Dummies

Great book! I bought it to teach my kids to spell, but know we have a software program that does that. I still love the book. It would have been great to have when I was learning spelling strategies and language arts during my internship in teaching.

Excellent resource for teachers and adult students

If you want your child to win the national spelling bee this probably isnt the book you need but if you want simple explanations of fairly hard spellings this is a great book. You get lists of words with tricky sounds in them and a lot of word families and its all explained in easy terms. I have taught my child many of the lists and will keep going.

Although this book is aimed at parents, it is a quick and easy tool for teachers as well. I have seen several ideas that can be used in my kindergarten classroom and shared with parents to use at home. The book also covers severl levels from beginning spellers to higher levels.

I found this book very practical and helpful.It gave me fun games and simple word lists.try this book if you want tips and useful information that really works.

Good gift idea

Woodsie is the best book teacher absolutely wonderfully put together text. Really helpful. Very easy and detailed. In fact any book written by this author is always good

Useful book to dip in and out of

Bought this to begin developing a systemic spelling routine with my daughter. We are working our way through some accessible tips. I like the way the rules are broken down into small chunks.

Arrived quickly and in very good condition. Matched the product description perfectly. It was a relatively useful read though by no means the one and only book to read on the subject
