Last fall & into the spring, I have developed a major Stink Bug infestation. I thought the Asian Ladybeetles we bad until the Stink Bugs joined them. Horrible & ruined my home with their mess (they squirt brown liquid that stains as well as the stink.)I purchased this Bug Zapper for natural pest control & it's highly effective. The bright UV bulbs attract the Stink Bugs & their Lady Beetle buddies to this Zapper like magic in a darkened room & the electrified grid fries them. Works in closets & attics too.This Pest Killer is efficient, powerful, & nicely constructed. Easy to clean & I don't have to use poisons. This Zapper is #1 in my bug war. Crazy how those bugs have made me so miserable. So I get ecstatic every time I hear a bug fry in this Zapper. Very happy with my purchase & has a great warranty.

Problems with NO instructions. After unplugging, the unit stays "charged", unless you take a screwdriver with a rubber handle and touch all metal parts to discharge the electricity. I thought that the extra bulbs were missing, but they were inside the bottom of the unit. I didn't know if you were supposed to keep them there while operating. So I took it apart, but then I got shocked trying to take the extra tubes out. My fingers tingled for several hours afterwards. I would not put it back together, until I found a UTube video to figure out how to why I got shocked, so it wouldn't happen again. It works OK, better at night, but the flies landed all around it and were not interested in going into it. Very LOUD, even for small gnats, mosquitos. We have 5 dogs, the rescue dog was scared to death when he heard it "POP", even if he was 2 rooms away. He would just freeze, cower and shake; nothing would alleviate his terror, until we unplugged it.

We have a problem with bugs and this helps a lot.

This is one of half a dozen nearly identical units for sale on Amazon. It works great once assembled, but there are no instructions on how to remove the safety plates and assemble it on this unit's page or in the box that it's shipped in. As a result, I wasted several hours (and weeks) trying to figure out how to disassemble it (which turns out to be impossible and likely to kill either you or the unit), and meant to revise my earlier review to some kind of minus rating. However, giving up and going to another store's site, I ran into a video review of a similar box that showed how to easily take off the safety plates and set it up (then replace the safety plates), and after that, by looking at some of the other units mentioned in the first sentence of this review, found a similar video. Basically, you have to partially remove the front and/or back safety plates to get at the dead bug plate and replacement bulbs (if you ordered it with replacement bulbs, which is a good idea, as they are only a couple of dollars here, and a similar pair from another store cost me $18). To summarize, if you find a video on how to get at the insides and properly set it up it's not hard, and works great; but if you rely on the nonexistent instructions that come with the box, you'll be tearing your hair out. (Added later: Eventually you'll need to replace the bulbs. When you do, be sure to unplug the device, as it's all too easy to accidentally touch one of the metal parts, and if plugged in, that could be fatal. Even after it's unplugged it can hold quite a static charge, so it might be a good idea to touch a metal part with a rubber-handled screwdriver to discharge any charge before actually reaching inside.)

This product arrived faulty, it sparked & shot out flames, until I quickly was able to un plug it, now I have to return it at my own expense at over $100 to post back. So would be close to $200 out of pocketI am so upset after numerous phone calls with Amazon, I still have no refund, & don’t know now what to do, it is too expensive for me to pay for the return postage.As a regular buyer on Amazon, I am very disappointed with the service regarding this product, that could of easily burnt my house down 🤬🤬

Se ve de buena Calidad, tiene un par de semanas funcionando día y noche sin ningún problema.Es asombroso la cantidad de insectos voladores que mata, si hace un tronido como dicen algunas personas,pero hasta gusto dar escucharlo sabiendo que esta matando zancudos, yo lo tengo en el patio y si se escucha el ruido cuando truena, pero nada molesto.Actualización 2meses después: ya se fundieron los focos, sirve muy bien pero no duraron las lámparas.
