Steinberg Cubase Pro 8.5 Recording Software

After using Cubase 5 for years I thought it was finally time to upgrade. Luckily enough for me, I received a free upgrade with this purchase to Cubase 9! That was a very welcome surprise. You can also install this on different machines, but you need the USB dongle to be plugged in if you want to "activate" the machine you're working on. If you haven't witness the new UI and features for yourself, you will be very pleasantly surprised! It's a sharper look with some new features/layout that really aid in the recording workflow versus the older Cubase 5.Some of the nice things about this are the lack of "pop up" windows when you're going into the MIDI or Drum editors. The look of it is more modern too and less like some Windows 95 design. The EQ in a designated channel also now shows a real time frequency spectrum which aids in mixing. I'd say if you're stuck many versions behind (like Cubase 5) than the upgrade is totally worth the money. If you're only a version behind, or something like that, maybe wait a while.

I learned to use LE a few years ago and eventually got it figured out. Computer broke, never could get the license to work again. Bought Elements 8. Watched tutorials and recorded using the demo template. I still can't get a new project set up. Very frustrating for me, I don't have 4 hours to figure it out again. I am disappointed that the tutorial videos (that comes with it) doesn't teach you to connect the sound card and create 2 to 8 tracks and then add your effects in one simple video. Otherwise, I would give it a big Ol' 5.

Great Digital Audio Workstation. Straight forward and user friendly. I thought there were more pitch correction interfaces, but the 1 that is provided does the job. This is a great program for any beginner or even someone who is already experienced in music production. Professionals may want to consider buying the more anvenced verson of cubase that Amazon has to offer as they may feel slightly limited, in comparison to what they are used to. Other than that, this is definately woth the money and is more than capeable of providing professional quality results.

I installed Cubase 8.01 as directed on my Dell Optiplex 990 with a 64 bit Windows 7 system. It took a while. The registration menu came up and I filled in the registration code. I then clicked the icon on my desktop and a dialog box with this message came up: "This Steinberg product does not support Basic High Contrast Themes on Windows operating Systems. Please use one of the Areo themes that you can set in the Windows Control Panel." When I clicked the "OK" the program simply quit. (Did this a few times. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and the result was the same.)The Steinberg website was not helpful, because for some unrelated reason it wouldn't let me activate an account, which is what you must do in order to get customer support. The website has an automated account registration process where, after giving them your email and a password, it is supposed to send you a confirmation email with an activation link. The website says it sent me the email, but it didn't (no, it's not in my spam inbox). The account page has a "resend" button, in case you didn't get the confirmation email. But, alas, the result is the same. The account page has a third option, in case nothing else works: it gives you an email address. I tried it, but it's been a whole day and nobody has replied. Of course, the website is in Germany and Germans don't work on Saturdays. I will give them until Monday, but at this point it looks like it's going back to AmazonEarlier versions of Cubase have been great, so here's hoping Steinberg customer support, and the product itself, aren't as bad as they seem. Love it. Upgraded from 32bit to 64bit. Definitely worth it as the 64bit Kontakt plugin can now load samples greater than 4 gigabytes.

By far the worst purchase ever! Can't believe how arrogant this company is! Still unable to use the software. Just had to purchase the dongle. Have little faith that it will work. I only wish I didn't have previous projects on this stinkburg platform. Want to jump to pro tools. Who owns this company? Steinburg? Yamaha?Who knows. Tech support is almost non existent, extremely unhelpful. Once they give their so called support, they dump you. They don't care if the product works or not. I understand proprietary privacy but this is just one big pain in the behind! In this day and age, when you purchase a DVD with the program it should include the license. No internet issues at all on my 7mb connection. However I can't download the license or update anything, but they tell me I have a bad port?? True customer service would send out a dongle if the customer was having problems, at no cost. No follow up on anything since the sub par tech support.. if you do happen to be able to install the software, God help you if anything happens to you laptop or PC, you will be stuck dealing with these fools! Any positives of the software is negated by this companies tech support. Once again...they don't care....at all!

Ha un sacco di funzioni, si possono utilizzare moltissime tracce contemporaneamente e tantissimi effetti audio che possiamo utilizzare come vogliamo e possiamo anche registrane di nuovi noi! Brilliant version - has everything I need for making tunesLots of effects, superb tone control, seamless recording, MIDI mixer much improved over the older clunky versions.Only drawback is there are not that many free instruments, but there are plenty out there; both free and to buy :)10/10 and as an alternative to using my old VST, well worth the money!Time to Google 'CuBase convert "VST 5.1" "Elements 8" '

Este archiconocido software de edición no deja de mejorar en cada versión. Para un home studio es ideal ya que ofrece todas las funcionalidades necesarias para ese fin. Siempre se puede "escalar" a una versión superior en caso de necesidad.

This is a great product for my purpose, with a very affordable price tag. A lot of improvements have been made to the Cubase software in recent versions, and in my opinion it really helps a lot to optimize the workflow. To anyone interested in buying it I would recommend that they first give it a try via the fully functional 30 day trial version available through the Steinberg webpage before purchase. This way disappointment can be avoided, as obviously the Elements version does not contain all of the bells and whistles that the full version contains. All in all I'm very satisfied with the software.
