Simple product but really effective does require a good drill and drill bit in order to drill the holes into the concrete but now held really securely and provides cheap peace of mind when a company with a good quality chain and padlock

As others have noted, this is a quality item, extremely chunky and well thought out. However, be ware that a proper install, is not to be underestimated! You may have to spend a non-trivial amount of money on tools and bits. In my case, my combi drill in hammer mode only managed to drill through my garage's concrete slab which was ~5cm deep. Below that I suspect may have been compacted hardcore (rocks, etc) that I couldn't even put a dent in. My choice was to either invest in an SDS hammer drill to get the remainder 2cm (for a total of 7cm hole required), or botch the job with some shorter bolts and construction adhesive. Guess which one I chose :) At the very minimum you'd need a 16mm masonry bit (that is, if you have several smaller ones to start a pilot hole). In any case, as long as this is sturdier than the chain you secure, a potential attacker with an angle grinder would probably go for your chain, so that's the name of the game. Good luck installing it!!

These anchors are strong, well made and come with anti tamper fixings. They are a fantastic visual deterrent when used with a quality chain and lock. I highly recommend 👌

Very pleased with this anchor. Considerably heavier gauge material than the equivalent Oxford product I owned already. One single piece of metal suggests fewer weak points and thicker material should mean longer cutting resistance. Hence the Gold certification of “Sold Secure”.Installation was simple as with most of these anchors. Just ensure you have a suitable drill and correct bit sizes as specified.Sadly it’s usually the chain where thieves do their damage but it’s good knowing I have a solid anchor point and I’m doing the best I can to keep my bike safe.

This anchor is excellent. It’s also quite massive, being able to have a 22mm Oxford beast chain running through it.Comes with fittings needed, but you will need a drill & drill bit for it. I used an SBS type drill as my other battery hammer drills could drill this size hole.

Price is steep for basically a box section of steel cut twice on an angle, but it does give you the option of removing it when the chain is removed.The package is padded out with stuff like silicone tube (for removing dust?) And a black marker pen to mark where the holes go. This suggests it's over priced for some steel and rather than pricing it lower the manufacturer decided to fluff out the contents. Others might think this is handy but I think pipe and pens are basic items, so it seems a bit gimmicky.If you don't need to remove your anchor at any point in the foreseeable future you can get the Oxford one for the same price, thicker, double layered, diamond rated, and just cut a channel in the concrete beneath the anchor to fit a 22mm chain.

A very solid construction of ground anchor and very comprehensive instructions and extras added to help you install it correctly. Worth the money.

Feels solid, Oxford XL chain fits through easily. Would buy again
