Q: what is the difference between nitrate and latex gloves as far as durability, ware, strength and comfort, why would you choose one over the other.

Nitrile gloves are made from 100% synthetic rubber. Latex gloves use extracts from rubber trees as a raw material. Both materials are used to manufacture medical exam and non-medical gloves. Latex gloves are more pliable and stretch more than nitrile, but the new formulations of nitrile gloves are comfortable and stretch well. Latex gloves have small quantities of natural latex proteins, which can cause an allergic reaction from a small percentage of the population. Manufacturing methods have changed significantly in the past 15 years which dramatically decreased the quantity of latex proteins present in gloves. Chemical resistance for nitrile vs. latex often differs. Only nitrile gloves have been tested and shown to be protective for various chemotherapy agents. Check the specifications for each glove model prior to purchase.

They are an ivory color. We do not have them in any other colors at the moment due to supply constraints.

Yes. Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your palm, just below the knuckles. Make sure NOT to include the thumb. The measurement you get in inches will show which size is best for you. Here are the measurements. XS 6″ – 7″ S 7″ – 8″ M 8″ – 9″ L 9″ – 10″ XL 10″ – 11″ Many think these gloves are larger than other disposable gloves, so often a smaller size will work. The natural latex stretches, so the gloves are unlikely to feel tight. Good luck!
