The cord is short, maybe 18 inches long. I knew this was going to be the case, so that isn't an issue. The extremely high transfer rate probably limits how long the cord can be at this price (which is excellent too.) In the time that it took me to figure out how to fix driver issues connecting my laptop to my OnePlus 7 Pro phone and transfer files using the cord 20% or so of the battery had charged while in MTP mode, which is way better than any other cord I've ever had.Transferring the drivers folder from phone to laptop through this cord was instantaneous. The folder only held 18MB of data, but I have some work to do setting up drivers and managing the filesystem of the phone through the laptop before I transfer any larger files.Anyway, the cord works perfectly as advertised as far as I can tell, it is made of high quality materials and is significantly thicker than normal USB cords as well. I can't remember ever feeling a loss when buying Anker products. They are priced at mid level and perform with upper tier products.

So I originally bought this so that I could connect something to my laptop but then I realized I didn't need it so I returned it. Well later down the road I realize that a docking station I have needed a replacement Thunderbolt 3 cord because it was causing my monitors to flick her off. So I bought this again and replaced the one on the docking station. My monitors no longer flick her off. I'm really thankful that this is good quality and fixed my problem.

Love this a lot. I have a RAID hard drive and it does not bottle neck the speed.

This is a beautiful, quality cable. But 1.6 feet is shorter than I expected. It's not really long enough to connect a monitor to an open laptop. It works perfect with my laptop in clamshell mode in a vertical stand.

Purchased to replace a missing cable on an Elgato Thunderbolt 3 dock. Using with a 2019 intel MacBook Pro - handles USB and 4K video right now just fine. Ad advertised, and this length seems to be about normal for those included with docking/breakout solutions.

I was irritated with the very short, inconvenient cable that came with my Sandisk external SSD. The rigid cord is barely 7 inches long and hangs off my laptop at an awkward angle. You can’t even bend the cable without putting a lot of stress on your usb c port, potentially damaging your equipment.However, I needed something that still supported high speed, high volume data transfer. This cable not only works better physically, it also functions better and faster than the one that came with the product. It’s not cheap, but it is 100% worth it. I hope this helps you with your decision :)
